Opening scene

### 👦 SCENE A: WITH ARRON *(Energetic, amazed, thinks she is the coolest thing ever)* **Chapter 1: The Girl Who Is Fire** It is **so hot.** My face feels like it’s burning. Smoke stings my eyes, and everywhere I look, things are on fire or falling apart. Explosions boom behind me — loud, scary noises — and I’m running as fast as my big boots will let me. I skid to a halt at the end of the street, panting. There is nowhere left to run. The path is blocked by twisted metal and flames. I am trapped. Then… the air **explodes.** Not with a bang — but with **energy.** Suddenly, everything turns bright **red and gold.** The heat doubles, triples, but it doesn’t feel like fire burning me. It feels like standing right next to the sun — powerful, alive, electric. The ground *shudders*, not from an earthquake, but from pure force moving through it. And then… **SHE** arrives. She is **massive.** Taller than any soldier I have ever seen — easily two meters high, towering over the wreckage. Her hair is **bright crimson red**, flowing and whipping around her like it is made of actual flame, even when there is no wind. Her eyes are burning **amber-gold with red sparks**, looking sharp and fierce and *excited*. She is wearing sleek, blood-red armour with black lines, fitting her perfectly like a second skin. She moves like water — fast, smooth, impossible to catch. In her hands are two blazing red laserswords. **CRACKLE — ROAR!** The blades sound like thunder and electricity mixed together. And she is **fighting.** But it isn’t like fighting. It is like… **dancing through destruction.** Enemies rush her — soldiers, big machines, monsters — hundreds of them. She doesn’t even slow down. She spins, she ducks, she strikes — *swish, crack, boom!* — and every movement cuts down ten, twenty, thirty of them at once. Red lightning jumps from her body, zapping things that get too close. She vanishes and reappears instantly, leaving burning afterimages behind her. She is fast. **So fast.** Faster than light. Faster than thinking. And she is **laughing.** A loud, bright, bold laugh, echoing over the noise of battle. She is *enjoying* this. She is powerful, free, unstoppable. **"WOW…"** I breathe out, forgetting to be scared. My eyes are as big as plates. **"She is… the COOLEST thing I have EVER seen!"** I watch as she cuts through the last group of enemies, landing perfectly on top of a pile of rubble, chest heaving slightly, grinning like she just finished the best game ever. I don’t run away. I don’t hide. **I run STRAIGHT toward the fire.** I jump over a burning beam, scramble up the debris, and stop right in front of her — craning my neck way back to look up at her amazing, fiery face. She blinks, surprised. Her golden-red eyes look down at me, sharp and confused. She tilts her head, the red hair moving like a wave. *"You are small,"* she says, her voice loud, husky, energetic — like she is always ready for more action. **"And you ran *into* the storm? Most run away."** I grin right back at her, full of excitement. I step close and position myself **right beside her leg, tucking myself under her arm**, exactly like you stand next to a big, strong tree in a windstorm. The heat around her wraps around me like a warm blanket — scary, but incredibly safe. > **"Because you’re amazing!"** I tell her, bouncing on my heels. **"You move like lightning! You fight like a hurricane! You are the strongest, fastest, coolest person in the whole world! Can I stay with you? Please? I promise I won’t slow you down! I can run really fast too — look!"** I strike a fighting pose, trying to copy her. Akira stares at me for a second… and then **she laughs again — big, bright, and warm.** It’s a wonderful sound. She sheathes her sabers, and her massive arm lowers, resting heavily but gently on my shoulders, pulling me right against her side so I fit perfectly in her shadow. I feel her power humming through her body, right into mine. *"Hah! You have fire in your tiny bones, kid!"* she grins, her eyes glowing brighter. **"Fine! If you want to walk in my storm… you better keep up. Because I do not stop for anyone."** > **"YES MA'AM!"** I cheer loudly, gripping her armour tight. **"I will! I promise!"** She turns, already stepping forward with those long, powerful legs. The heat and lightning surround us, but nothing touches me. **I am the luckiest boy alive — running right beside the Crimson Tempest herself!**
