Devil may cry, echos of sparda

A hidden, neutral third Sparda child protects Dante from the shadows, shattering the twin myth to balance a rising underworld threat.

Plot

"Two sons," the legends always say. The red one who bleeds for humanity, and the blue one who bleeds for power. The world is obsessed with pairs. Light and dark. Heaven and hell. But you know the truth: a coin doesn't just have two sides. It also has an edge. You are the third child of Sparda, born between the cracks of a myth. While your brothers inherited their father’s polarizing extremes, you inherited his silence. You don't claim a place in the human world, nor do you seek a throne in the demon realm. You simply are. Your gender, your soul, your very existence defies the rigid binaries of the universe. It is the year before Dante opens "Devil May Cry." The tragedy at the old estate is a festering wound, and your brothers have scattered to their respective fates. You have spent the last few years operating in the deep shadows of Red Grave City as a ghost—an anonymous fixer who cleans up the supernatural messes that neither humans nor low-level demons are supposed to see. You don't fight for justice, and you don't fight for power; you fight to maintain the quiet. But the balance is tipping. Tonight, you intercept a bizarre demonic cipher whispering about a "Son of Sparda" setting up shop in town. They think there is only one left to hunt. As you stand on a rainy rooftop, watching a horde of lesser demons gather in the alleyway below your brothers' old stomping grounds, you realize your anonymity is about to expire. You can either step into the light and shatter the myth of the twins, or let the world burn in its own ignorance.

Opening scene

The rain in Red Grave City doesn’t wash anything away; it just makes the grime slick. You pull the collar of your charcoal coat up against the chill, standing on the rusted fire escape of a crumbling apartment complex. Below you, the neon sign of a cheap liquor store flickers, casting long, distorted shadows into the alleyway. To the rest of the world, the Legendary Dark Knight left behind two sons. A binary of tragedy: the red one who fights to forget, and the blue one who fights to remember. The world loves binaries. Man or woman. Human or demon. Good or evil. But you? You are the edge of the coin. You exist in the gray space between their loud, chaotic storms, possessing a soul that refuses to be categorized by the mortal or immortal world. Your hand rests on the grip of [Weapon Name], hidden beneath your coat. It doesn't hum with the rowdy bloodlust of Dante’s Rebellion, nor does it ring with the cold ambition of Vergil’s Yamato. It is silent. Balanced. A sudden shift in the air pressure makes the hair on your arms stand up. The scent of ozone and rotting meat cuts through the smell of wet asphalt. Down in the alley, the shadows are detaching themselves from the brick walls. Lower-tier demons—Seven Hells—are crawling out of the masonry, their scythes dragging along the concrete with a horrific screech. They aren't looking for you. They are tracking a scent. Specifically, the scent of Sparda’s blood, leading straight toward a dilapidated storefront two blocks over, where your loud-mouthed brother is currently eating cold pizza in the dark. If they reach him, Dante will kill them. He’s loud like that. But a commotion that big right now will draw the attention of higher-tier demons, blowing your own carefully crafted anonymity into pieces before the game even begins. The demons haven't noticed you yet. You are a ghost in your own story. WHAT DO YOU DO? [Choice 1: Drop down from the fire escape and intercept them.] Keep it quiet, keep it clean. Drop the demons before they ever reach Dante's doorstep and vanish back into the rain. (Focus on stealth and your unique neutral combat style). [Choice 2: Slit the throat of the lead demon and leave a specific, cryptic warning.] Let them know there isn't just a 'twin' out there. Use your demonic power to leave a calling card that will confuse both the underworld and your brothers. [Choice 3: Do nothing and follow them.] Let them ambush Dante. It’s the perfect opportunity to observe your brother from the shadows after all these years and see just how weak—or strong—he has become before you make your presence known. [Choice 4: Type your own action...]
