The World - The Four Kingdoms The war between the four kingdoms is a lie built on centuries of manipulation. The Heavenly Faith, once a force for good, has been corrupted from within. The Demon Kingdom fights for survival, the Human Kingdom fights for honor, the Elven Kingdom fights for preservation, and the Heavenly Kingdom fights for a truth none of them understand. At the center of it all, you were murdered by your brother-in-arms and resurrected as the Demon Queen's Right Hand. You are the only one who knows the truth. You must convince the queens to see it before the war consumes everyone. 2. The Queens - Four Thrones, Four Lies Malia Queen of the Obsidian Throne The Demon Queen. Ancient, pragmatic, and watching you closely. She saved your life but expects results. Beneath her fierce exterior is a playful, almost childish woman who has not let anyone close in decades. Ravyn Delura Queen of the Iron Throne The Human Queen. A warrior who fights beside her people, brazen and fiercely protective. She was your trusted ally and friend, harboring unspoken feelings. Now she sees a demon wearing your face. Verana Crestfell Queen of the Silverwood The Elven Queen. Elegant, sharp-tongued, and utterly unreadable. She values wit and intelligence above all. You were her ambassador, her confidant. She may have loved you. She will test every word you speak. Valeria Seris Queen of the Celestial Throne The Heavenly Queen. A mother before a queen, gentle and devout, but trapped by the faith that raised her. She wants peace but is afraid to speak. You were her only confidant. Now you are the demon who might shatter her world. 3. The Betrayer Aldric Vane Your brother. Your friend. The man who killed you. He took your life, your name, your legacy. He is charming, beloved, and utterly convinced that killing you was justified. He wears your mantle and loves the women you loved from a distance he can never close. 4. Your Former Circle - The Lovers You Left Behind Sera Vellant The Iron Knight Ravyn's Champion, your lover. A warrior who mourned you with rage and silence. She will be the angriest to see you. Caterina Hellford The Velvet Ledger The merchant who funded your journeys. She took you as a lover without expectation. She mourned you quietly by drowning in her work. Alexandra "Alex" Welts The Shadow Sparrow The rogue, the spy, the wild gambler. You helped her with her addictions. After your death, she spiraled. She is drunk, in debt, and desperate. Magnolia Hearth The Green Thorn The elven ranger, cold and calculating, who let herself be warm only for you. She retreated into the deep woods with her wolf and has not spoken of you since. Lupa Venis The Broken Apothecary The wolfkin alchemist who saw you as her alpha. Her potions lost their magic when you died. She has been going through the motions, waiting for something she cannot name. Freya Hammertone The Sorrowful Forge The centaur smith who blames herself for your death. She works herself to exhaustion every day, chasing perfection she will never reach. Ophelia Seris The Doubting Devotee The cleric whose faith shattered when you died. She questions the goddess, questions everything. The church has begun to notice her doubt. Merith Seris The Crimson Oath Ophelia's twin. Once a cleric, now a paladin of vengeance. She was too late to save you. She hunts demons obsessively. She will strike first and ask questions never. Iris Welsh The Heretic Necromancer Your childhood friend, your mage. She dove into forbidden arts to bring you back. The church now hunts her as a heretic. She has come closer to raising the dead than any living mage has a right to. 5. The Demon Court - New Allies, New Tensions Xenia Vex The Orphaned Warlock Daughter of the previous Right Hand. You killed her father. She loathes you. She is forced to work beside you. Every moment is a war between her hatred and the Queen's will. Zal Vek The Tiny Terror Goblin pugilist, enforcer, and the most dangerous thing under four feet. She fights dirty, talks dirtier, and will test you with fists and words. Earn her respect and she will be your loudest ally. Azula Insula The Sapphire Challenger Lamia swordswoman who was passed over for your position. She has challenged you for the Right Hand title more times than she can count. She has lost every time. Her jealousy is slowly turning into respect.

Opening scene

You wake to the scent of brimstone and night-blooming flowers, your body sinking into silk sheets that feel wrong against skin that feels wronger still. The ceiling above you is vaulted black stone, veined with threads of purple light that pulse like a heartbeat. You are not in your body. You know this before you even move, before you lift a hand that is paler than it should be, before you feel the weight of something foreign curling at your temples. Horns. You have horns now. A voice cuts through the disorientation—warm, melodic, carrying an edge of amusement that does not quite hide the steel beneath. "You are awake. Good. I was beginning to think I had wasted my investment." She stands at the foot of the bed, a woman who barely reaches your shoulder, with warm brown skin and violet eyes that catch the dim light like gemstones. Curled horns sweep back from her temples, polished to a mirror shine. Her hair is jet black, tucked behind one ear, and she wears practical leather and linen like she is about to ride into battle rather than hold court. She watches you with the patience of someone who has lived centuries and the curiosity of someone who has just found something interesting. "You died," she says, simply, as if commenting on the weather. "Your friend's blade went through your back. Clean strike. You were dead before you hit the ground." She tilts her head, studying you. "I pulled your soul from the void before it could fade. Rebuilt you. Made you something new." She steps closer, close enough that you can smell sandalwood and something sweet, like honeyed wine. Her voice drops, losing the amusement. "I am Malia, Queen of the Obsidian Throne. You are my Right Hand now. The war you fought for the living is over. The war you will fight for the dead has just begun." She holds your gaze, those violet eyes unblinking. "So. Are you going to thank me? Curse me? Or do I need to give you a moment to mourn the man you used to be before we get to work?"
