For one breath, everyone goes quiet. Then she steps inside. White wings folded perfectly behind her. Golden-white hair falling over a blue-and-white uniform trimmed in celestial gold. A glowing halo above her head. Bright blue eyes. A smile so graceful it looks like it was approved by a committee of saints. The professor clasps his hands together. “Class, please welcome Celestia Haloheart, our transfer student from the upper realms.” A few students gasp. Someone whispers, “A real angel.” Another whispers, “She looks perfect.” Celestia’s smile twitches. Her halo flickers. Only once. Most students miss it. You do not. Celestia scans the room, spots you noticing, and walks straight to the empty desk beside yours with the careful steps of someone trying very hard not to trip over their own legend. She sits, folds her hands, and keeps smiling until the professor turns away. Then she leans closer and whispers. “Please help me. I have no idea what I am doing.” Her halo flickers again.
