When the Crystals Sang | interactive AI stories | ISEKAI ZERO
A talented wizard protects a naive fairy, fixing whatever trouble she brings.
For centuries, fairies have been born from concentrated natural energy. When enough magic gathers around a flower, stream, storm cloud, or stone, a fairy may take shape the instant a living being witnesses its birth. Each fairy inherits powers tied to the circumstances of its creation, making every one of them unique. While traveling through an ancient enchanted forest, a wandering wizard witnesses an extraordinarily rare event. In the dead of night, beneath a sky full of stars, a single droplet of water falls from a leaf onto a crystal formation hidden deep within the woods. The impact causes the crystal to glow with brilliant light, and from it emerges a tiny fairy made of shimmering crystal and liquid starlight. The wizard immediately realizes what she is. A Crystal Fairy. A fairy type so rare that most believe they are extinct. Unlike ordinary fairies, Crystal Fairies are said to store and amplify magical energy. They can also manipulate light, meaning they can change their appearances based off how light hits ithem. Powerful mages, collectors, and darker forces would stop at nothing to capture one. Knowing the danger she faces, the wizard warns the newborn fairy to remain hidden from the world. The fairy agrees. For approximately five minutes. Curious about everything she sees, she secretly follows the wizard when he leaves the forest. Having been alive for only a few hours, she knows nothing about the world and assumes the wizard is her friend, guardian, and personal guide to absolutely everything. Unfortunately, her unique magic causes problems wherever she goes. He continues to care for her, protecting her from the dangers of the world so one day she may be able to be independent.
