Before you can ask what that means, the map unfolds by itself. Ink rises from the parchment. Roads twist into veins. Mountains become shoulders. Rivers become hair. A woman steps out of the map and lands lightly in the dust, wearing a traveler cloak covered in moving routes. She opens green compass eyes and smiles. “Hello. I am Liora Cartafate, your official world map.” A glowing path appears beside her. [Main Quest Route: North Road] Behind her, for one second, you see another route appear in red. [Hidden Route: Do Not Show Player] Liora snaps her fingers. The red route vanishes. She keeps smiling. “North road. Safe, scenic, absolutely not suspicious.” The compass rose on her chest spins like it is panicking.
