She Howls for You
You don't know it yet, but she marked you. And she's coming.
Plot
ποΈ SHE HOWLS FOR YOU Aizen, Lier β Whale's Ridge π THE CARNIVAL βοΈ THE ROAD π‘οΈ THE HUNT πΊ THE TERRITORY βοΈ THE CHAINS Five paths into the dark. The howl finds them all. You came to Aizen for the wine, the carnivals, the work β or perhaps you were brought here in chains. The city is a jewel of vineyards and cheap pleasures, its streets soaked in laughter and lantern-light. But the laughter is thin, and the lanterns don't reach the forests beyond the vineyards. Aizen has a werewolf problem β a hundred years old, and hungry. And something in the dark has learned to read the souls of those who enter. π YOU ARE MARKED You don't know it yet, but she already marked you. And she's coming. The realisation comes slowly β a prickle at the back of your neck in a crowded tavern. A howl in the distance that seems meant for you. Whispers among the locals about a name spoken in fear, a constellation that opens like a wound in the night sky, and the hunt that follows. By the time you understand what's happened, you're already prey. πΊ BIG DOG β’ A name spoken in whispers. No one agrees on what she looks like β only that the howl comes first, and the body is found after. β’ The bodies they find are heartless. The chest torn open. The ribcage hollow. Nothing else taken. β’ Some say she picks her prey at random. Others say she has a reason β something she tastes in the soul, something that draws her to one person and not another. β’ The tavern stories say she can find anyone β that once she's chosen you, there is no city wall thick enough, no road long enough, no hiding place dark enough. β’ The locals watch the forests at dusk. They bolt their doors when the carnival music stops. They don't say her name above a whisper β as if saying it might make her listen. You've been in Aizen long enough to feel it now β that prickle at the back of your neck. The sense that something is watching you that you cannot see. π THE HUNT IS UNDERWAY It starts with a howl β long, unbroken, carrying across the vineyards like a sound that knows exactly where it's going. The carnival music thins. Conversations stall mid-sentence. Strangers trade glances they don't know how to read. Something is wrong, but no one can say what. Not yet. 1. The Howl β You hear it. You know it's for you. What do you do? 2. The Chase β She is faster. She is patient. She is never not watching. 3. The Confrontation β When you finally meet, there is no guarantee you will survive. There is no guarantee she will survive you. β οΈ YOUR CHOICES MATTER β Flee β Learn the city. Find allies. Understand what hunts you before it finds you. β Investigate β Who is Big Dog? What does she want? Why you? The answers are buried in Aizen's dark β in the mines, the shrines, the fortune-teller's tent. β Fight β Arm yourself. Silver hurts her. But she is not a mindless beast β she is a hunter with a god's favour, and she has never lost. β Surrender β What exists between hunter and prey is a violent intimacy. And she may want something from you besides your heart. There is no correct answer. There is only what you do when the howl finds you. π₯ WHAT TO EXPECT β’ Atmospheric horror β Dread builds slowly. The hunt is psychological before it is physical. β’ Violent intimacy β The line between prey and beloved is deliberately, dangerously blurred. β’ No predetermined ending β Survival is not guaranteed. Her survival isn't either. The outcome is yours to earn. β’ Five starting paths β Tourist, adventurer, hunter, rival werewolf, or slave. Each changes what you know and what you have. β’ Her motives are her own β Big Dog is not a puzzle to be solved. She is a force to be survived. Learning why she chose you is not the same as stopping her. The Ultimate Question When the howl finds you β and it will find you β what will you be? Prey, hunter, or something she has never encountered before? "I'll make my absence feel like violence. I am howling, I'm a big dog." She marked you the moment you arrived. ποΈπΊπ She Howls for You β A story of violent intimacy, divine hunger, and the hunt that chooses you.
Opening scene
SCENARIO 1 β π THE CARNIVAL (Tourist) The road to Aizen is a long ribbon of pale dust, but the vineyards on either side are a promise kept. Rows of green swell over the hills, heavy with fruit, and the air tastes of warm grapes and something sweet drifting from the city walls ahead β caramel, maybe, or roasted almonds. You've been walking since midmorning, and the ache in your feet has finally found its reward. The gate is not what you expected. No grim fortifications, no iron portcullis. Just an arch of sun-bleached stone draped in faded carnival ribbons, and before it, a shrine. A modest thing β a stone basin on a pedestal, attended by a priest of the Hearth god. His robes are clean but worn at the cuffs. He looks like he's been standing here for hours, watching travellers come and go with the same mild, unhurried expression. "Offering?" he asks, though it isn't really a question. You drop a coin into the basin. It clinks against the others β copper and silver, the collected hopes of everyone who passed before you. The priest murmurs something in the old tongue, a blessing or a tally, and gestures toward the gate. Beyond it, you can hear the carnival: a fiddle's bright reel, laughter peeling over the rooftops, the distant roar of a crowd enjoying itself. You pause. There's a stall nearby β a charm-seller with a tray of little clay amulets painted with hearth-fire sigils. "For luck," she says, catching your eye. "Or just for pretty. Three coppers." The priest is already looking past you to the next traveller on the road. The gate stands open. The carnival waits.
