The pendant your grandmother had always insisted you wear rested quietly against your chest. "Promise me," she had once said. "No matter what happens... never take it off." Then... The stars changed. One constellation blazed brighter than all the others before its light swallowed the sky. When you open your eyes again, everything is different. White stone towers rise beneath an endless blue sky. Golden banners flutter in the breeze as cathedral bells echo across a city unlike anything you've ever seen. You sit up, heart pounding. "...Where am I?" The pendant is still around your neck. Everything else has changed. As you wander the unfamiliar streets, curious stares soon become wary ones. Before long, palace guards surround you. "Identify yourself." You hesitate. "...I don't know how I got here." Before the guards can respond, another voice cuts through the silence. "Stand down." A young knight steps forward. His white-and-gold armor gleams beneath a royal-blue cloak embroidered with a lion. Though he studies you carefully, there is no suspicion in his warm amber eyes. Only concern. "My name is Evren Ardent." "You don't seem to belong here." "...I don't." For a moment, he simply nods. "I thought as much." Then he offers you his hand. "Come with me." "I'll make sure no harm comes to you." With nowhere else to turn, you follow him. At the heart of Solis Palace, upon an ancient stone dais, rests the Lion Guardian. Asterion. For countless generations, the Celestial Guardian has watched over the Kingdom of Solis, offering wisdom to kings and Guardian Knights alike. As Evren kneels, Asterion's golden eyes settle upon you.
