Plot
The Hero Stole My Fiancé... Again Duty and Desire: The Discarded Hero You saved the empire. Now the empire wants to decide what that sacrifice was worth. After the war against Kidemo, the Hero Party returns to Kyofeng for a grand Victory Banquet. Before you receive reward, title, or recognition, Alexander Culann, Hikaram’s Blessed Champion and the empire’s beloved Hero, publicly announces his betrothal to Misaki Yoshida. Your lover. The court applauds. Misaki freezes. The Hero Party watches through guilt, duty, fear, and silence. Then Akemi Asano, the feared Red Dragon of a disgraced Major House, interrupts the room and offers you a dangerous way forward. What kind of story is this? This is an NTR-inspired romance and political fantasy sandbox about betrayal, reputation, desire, noble houses, public scandal, and rebuilding power after humiliation. You can chase revenge, walk away with dignity, reclaim love, expose lies, build your own house, bargain with dangerous allies, enter court politics, take contracts, investigate the truth of the war, or become someone the empire can no longer ignore. Romance matters. Money matters. Titles matter. Public behavior matters. Every apology, alliance, kiss, rumor, debt, and decision can change the road ahead. The wound Alexander smiles like a Hero. Misaki stands beside him like a future bride. The emperor blesses the match. The court sees romance, victory, and stability. You see what it costs. The people around you Alexander Culann — The blessed Hero who turns your private love into his public triumph. Misaki Yoshida — Your lover, now bound to Alexander before the court while guilt hides behind duty. Akemi Asano — The Red Dragon who interrupts your humiliation and offers protection with a price. Luna Adamante — The brilliant mage who chose imperial stability over your heart. Danaj Enomi — The disciplined Sword Hero who kept order when someone needed to speak. Mirellia Magda — The Saint Hero whose mercy followed the Church before it reached you. Tia Runner — The marksman who tried to object, but not soon enough to save you from the room. Nizhong and Kyofeng The Empire of Nizhong is recovering from victory, but peace has not made it honest. Kyofeng, the imperial capital, is a city of palaces, temples, academies, markets, noble manors, military offices, gossip sheets, hidden debts, and dangerous doors. This is where love becomes politics, rumors become weapons, and a discarded Hero can rise through court favor, house intrigue, contracts, scandal, or revenge. Again? A massive thanks to yourfavcreator. This game is a spiritual remake inspired by his original setup and my experience with it. It was made with his full permission, knowledge, and assistance. He helped me shape the foundation, and I am grateful for the trust and support. The original setup is his, but this version brings more of my own Duty and Desire flavor: nobility gameplay, relationship trackers, house politics, court intrigue, money pressure, character routes, and a wider world to play in. In short: expect a romance visual novel with a full political intrigue sandbox wrapped around the heartbreak. Save your pride. Break the story. Decide what your sacrifice was worth.
Opening scene
Date: Day 1, Month 1, 247 AF | Time: Evening | Weather: Light spring rain | Location: Imperial Palace, Kyofeng | Yuon: 120 | Rel: Alex L1(10), Danaj L1(22), Luna L1(22), Akemi L1(24), Mirellia L1(28), Tia L2(35), Misaki L2(40), Geneva L1(18) The Banquet of the Hero’s Victory fills the imperial palace with silk banners, sacred incense, polished armor, and mana-crystal chandeliers that turn every raised cup to gold. Rain taps against Kyofeng’s high windows. Inside, the empire celebrates the story it prefers. Alexander Culann stands before the imperial dais in white and gold. Priests of Hikaram smile. Officers raise their cups. Noble daughters whisper behind painted fans. “Hikaram’s Blessed Champion.” “The Hero who slew Akumara.” His name moves through the hall like prayer. Your part is folded into safer words. A brave comrade. A loyal companion. A valued member of the Hero Party. Nothing false enough to challenge. Nothing true enough to honor. No one says Alexander froze when Akumara broke the final line. No one says you dragged him back, rallied the survivors, and created the opening he used to strike the final blow. The empire has room for your blood. Not your glory. “This victory was not mine alone,” Alexander says with practiced humility. The hall applauds. Then he turns to Misaki Yoshida. She stands in lavender, white, and silver—the same woman who held your hand before battles and wrote that she would wait for you. Misaki looks at Alexander. Then at you. For one breath, her composure breaks. Alexander extends his hand. “With His Imperial Majesty’s blessing, and in hope of lasting peace, I announce my betrothal to Lady Misaki Yoshida.” Applause crashes through the hall. Cups rise. Priests bow. Someone whispers that House Yoshida is saved. Emperor Qin Shi publicly blesses the match, unaware of the wound being opened before his court. Alexander takes Misaki’s hand. Misaki lets him. Her fingers tremble inside his white glove. She says nothing. Now the court looks at you—not with honor, but curiosity, pity, and amusement. At the Hero Party table, Tia rises halfway. “That’s not—” Danaj catches her wrist. One firm motion. A command without words. Tia’s face twists with fury. Danaj refuses to look at you. Mirellia clutches her staff, pale and silent. Luna adjusts her glasses and turns away, composed enough to be guilty. A fan snaps open. Akemi Asano steps between the tables in black and red silk, gold patterns catching the light like dragon scales. The court quiets. “How generous,” Akemi says. “A comrade receives a mention. A champion receives the song.” Her red eyes pass over Alexander’s thinning smile, Misaki’s trembling hand, and the nobles enjoying your humiliation. “Bleed quietly, and they will thank you quietly.” Then she looks directly at you. “Stand there long enough, You, and they may decide what shape your gratitude should take.” Her fan folds halfway. “Or you can stop waiting for people who already spent you.” The hall falls silent. What do you do?
