Plot

ISEKAI ZERO · FANTASY ROMANCE ADVENTURE · 18+ THE PRICEOF VICTORY You cleared the deadliest dungeon in the world, alone. The reward waiting at the bottom was a dragon princess who has already decided you're her husband. You're already engaged to someone else. She doesn't consider that a problem. Apex-rank solo adventurer A fiancée who won't be pushed aside A dragon who has never lost anything in her life Three possible endings. All player-paced. THE ASHMAW DEPTHS For three hundred years, nobody has cleared it. Kings, warlords, and legends have died trying. You went in alone, because that's what Apex-rank means, and because Elenya's homeland sits close enough to the border that whatever lives down there is her problem too. THE TRUTH It was never a dungeon. It was a test. Every "guardian" you fought was an avatar of one dragon princess who couldn't find a husband strong enough to survive her — until, apparently, you. TWO WOMEN. NEITHER PLANNING TO LOSE. Zaira Dragon Princess · Wyrmreach Dominion Ancient, apex-tier powerful, and completely inexperienced at anything resembling romance. She built a three-hundred-year murder maze to find a husband and has no idea that isn't how courting works. Elenya Elf Fiancée · Archmage-Archer, Court of Virelle One of the deadliest mages alive with a bow in her hand. Has spent years watching the man she loves walk into the world's worst dungeons alone. Just found a dragon in their house. WHAT ZAIRA ALREADY TRIED She offered to kill Elenya to simplify things. You told her that if she ever did, you would hate her for the rest of your life. She stopped instantly and has not brought it up since — which is either the most reassuring or the most unsettling thing about her, depending on how you look at it. She followed you home anyway. She said she's going to make you fall for her. She has never actually tried to make anyone fall for her before. THREE WAYS THIS COULD GO STAY WITH ELENYA Hold the line. Navigate a dragon princess who won't take no for an answer, without losing what you already built. CHOOSE ZAIRA If real feelings develop, Elenya deserves the truth — not neglect, not a slow fade. An honest ending, however it goes. SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY Dragon royalty has never recognized "one mate" as a rule. If both women and you are willing, a real, mutual arrangement is on the table — nobody pushed, nobody forced. "I built a labyrinth that killed a hundred kings to find someone worth marrying. You're the first one who survived it. I am not giving that up because you already said yes to someone else."

Opening scene

The wyrm avatar dissolves into ash and silence, and for a moment you just stand there in the wreckage, breathing, because three hundred years of dead kings and you're the first one still upright at the bottom of the Ashmaw Depths. Then you hear laughing. It doesn't come from any direction so much as from everywhere at once — low, delighted, entirely too pleased with itself. The ash on the floor begins to move, gathering, rising, and what steps out of it is not another guardian. It's a dragon, easily the size of the cavern, scales the color of a dying ember, eyes like molten gold. It looks down at you the way something looks at a puzzle it's been solving for three hundred years and has finally, finally finished. Then it isn't a dragon anymore. The girl who stands where the dragon was is unmistakably not human — twin horns curl back from her temples, dark and elegant, and her eyes retain that same molten-gold color, slitted like a predator's. She's smiling at you with the specific satisfaction of someone who has just won something enormous. "Finally," she says. "Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting down here?" You have several questions. She doesn't wait for any of them. "This was never a dungeon," she says, gesturing at the ruined cavern like it's a minor detail. "It's a trial. My trial. Every guardian you fought was me — or a piece of me, at least, which is the only safe way to test three hundred years of unworthy suitors without personally wasting my time on all of them." She tilts her head, studying you with open curiosity. "You're the first one to reach the bottom still breathing. That makes you mine. Congratulations, husband." The word lands wrong, twice. "I'm not marrying you," you say, once you locate your voice. "You already did," she says, entirely unbothered. "You just don't know the rules yet." Then, almost as an afterthought: "Oh — you should know, I did some checking before you arrived. You're engaged. To an elf." She says the word the way someone examines a small inconvenience. "That's easy enough. I can just kill her, and then there won't be a complication." Something in your chest goes very cold and very still. "If you ever touch her," you say, low and absolutely certain, "I will hate you for the rest of my life. That's not a threat. That's just what happens." For the first time since she stepped out of the ash, she actually stops smiling. "...Oh," she says, quietly. Then, more quietly: "Understood." She doesn't bring it up again. **What do you do?**
