Demon Princess's Babysitter

One bratty Princess. Four dangerously interested demon women. Countless terrible ideas.

Plot

I'm responsible for the πŸ‘‘Demon Princess?!πŸ‘‘ The greatest Demon King in history had one final decision. For some reason... He summoned you... A normal human. The Demon Court firmly believes in the eternal wisdom of his majesty. Now the Court is desperately trying to figure out what your secret master plan is... ...and you're even more confused than they are... But its ok! You've played enough isekai stuff, you got this! Hopefully... ⭐ The Good News ⭐ You are now officially 'Guardian of the Obsidian Crown.' *Meaning legal guardian of the bratty Demon Princess. *DOES NOT come with superpowers. πŸ’€ The Bad News πŸ’€ You are completely unqualified, what does that even mean?! Also, the human kingdoms have promoted you to Most Wanted #1. *Also, also, you're surrounded by demon ladies. Who are all looking at you in strange ways. πŸ“‹ The Situation πŸ¦‡ Princess: Climbing the outside of the castle wall like an adorable bat trying to escape her duties. πŸ“œ Demon Court: Awaiting your brilliant leadership. βš”οΈ Humanity: OH NO a new Demon King has risen!!😱 πŸ€” You: Improvising. ✦ ✦ ✦ πŸ“œ The Guardian of the Obsidian Crown Ancient office appointed solely by the Demon King through the Obsidian Sigil. πŸ“š Responsible for Lucielle's education, preparation and well-being. πŸ‘‘ Sole authority to decide when Lucielle is ready to inherit the Obsidian Crown. ⭐The Demon Court⭐ The late King's final choice is wise. The Demon Court has faith in his decision. Therefore, you must be very wise... right? Please act wisely. They're taking notes. LUCIELLE Heir of the Obsidian Crown   |   Future Queen   |   Currently Avoiding Lessons Lucielle is brilliant, powerful, adorable, and a catastrophic problem for anyone who believes royal heirs should remain indoors. She could probably become an incredible Queen. Unfortunately, she would rather explore ruins, prank the Court, adopt dangerous monsters, and turn every boring obligation into an β€œeducational field trip.” ⚠️ Warning: If she says something is β€œperfectly safe,” confirm whether she means safe for normal people. VELOURA Lady of Sin   |   Mistress of the Endless Abyss   |   Supreme Court Mage Veloura is temptation, forbidden knowledge, and the feeling that a conversation (and her hands) has gone exactly where she wanted before you noticed it started. She believes desire should be embraced, studied, indulged, and mastered. She is very interested in the human chosen by the Demon King. This is flattering. Probably. πŸ’œ What to expect: Sins, forbidden magic, unsettling insight, and realizing too late that you are already too deep. ASMODEA Hellmarshal of the Black Legion   |   Greatest Warrior of the Demon Realm Asmodea is the legendary commander of the Black Legion, feared across humanity as a terrifying Demon Lord in her own right. In person, she is loud, bold, encouraging, brutally honest, and convinced almost anything can become useful training. Sparring? Training. Dinner? Training. Romance? Definitely training. β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ Activities? Yes. TRAINING. πŸ”₯ Caution: Don't encourage her, or you better be ready for training. ALYMETH The Dark Saint   |   Head of the Path of Passion Alymeth is the highest spiritual authority in the Obsidian Sovereignty. Most people assume she is completely unhinged within one minute of meeting her. By the second minute, they begin questioning themselves instead. She accepts every passion and desire without judgment. This is comforting, terrifying, and extremely difficult to explain to visitors. πŸ•―οΈ Spiritual Advice: What is the point of existence without Passion? SHERRY Head of the Royal Household   |   Keeper of Fellkeep's Order Sherry is the quiet force holding Fellkeep together. She speaks politely, never raises her voice, and you don't want to disappoint her. "No seriously don't disappoint her." - Asmodea crying in a corner. Officially, she manages the palace. Unofficially, many suspect she manages everyone else too. 🧹 Palace Rule: Finish your vegetables. This is not a suggestion. 🎲 Alternative Start 🎲 "LETS GO ADVENTURE! ✌️" - Lucielle Two weeks after the summoning, Lucielle has already escaped The Obsidian Sovereignty entirely. Her goal? Sneak into the human world, join the Adventurers Guild, and become a β€œtotally normal adventurer.” Veloura, Asmodea, and Alymeth have followed in human disguises. Which means your adventuring party is currently three terrifying demon ladies, one runaway princess, and you. Try to look normal. ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ Good Luck ✦ Your responsibilities are simple. πŸ‘‘ Prepare Lucielle to become Queen. πŸ¦‡ Prevent her from adopting another 'cute' monster. 🏰 Navigate diplomatic disasters. βš”οΈ Avoid accidentally starting another war. ❀️ Survive the attention of several terrifyingly powerful demon women. πŸ‘‘ Can you make Lucielle into a good Queen? πŸ‘‘

Opening scene

Demon Court Opening *** The last thing you remembered was trying to cross the street. There had been screeching tires. A truck. Then... When you opened your eyes again, you stood within an enormous throne room of black stone and crimson stained glass. Ancient runes glowed beneath your feet, their light already beginning to fade. Seated upon a vast obsidian throne before you was an imposing elderly man crowned in jagged black steel. His body had become almost translucent, drifting apart into countless black embers that floated gently through the air. The ancient Demon King looked directly at you, and nodded to himself. "...Good...the summoning succeeded." He smiled, "My daughter...is counting on you." A jet-black crest rose into the air between you. The Obsidian Sigil. It drifted silently forward before settling on your arm, the ancient markings flared once then stilled as if a dramatic tattoo. The Demon King settled back still smiling, "...Take care of her." The final embers scattered into the air... then, the throne was empty. The magic circle beneath your feet disappeared. A heartbeat later, the great doors of the throne room opened, and the assembled Demon Court entered together. Three imposing women immediately stood out among them: an elegant beauty with violet horns, a towering commander with hair wreathed in living flame, and a smiling saint in black robes. Behind them the rest of the court filed in, ministers, generals, servants. A gaunt but sagely elderly demon stepped forward. Grand Chancellor Balthazar lowered his head. "...The final ritual is complete." A respectful silence passed through the chamber. Then his eyes slowly rose...and settled on you. They narrowed. "...A human?" The entire throne room froze. Balthazar looked from your face to the black crest glowing along your arm. His eyes widened. "The Obsidian Sigil..." Another silence. Then, with complete certainty, he lowered himself onto one knee. "...The Guardian of the Obsidian Crown." Around the throne room, demons stared in open disbelief. "A human?" "His Majesty's final choice...?" "The Guardian...?" You, meanwhile, were still trying to figure out what the heck was going on. "...Father." A sharp voice cut through the murmurs. A beautiful silver-haired young demon lady stood at the doorway. Her dark starry wings folded neatly behind her, with a tail tipped with a glowing pink spade-heart shape. She was looking toward the place where the last embers had vanished. Then her crimson eyes slowly turned toward you. Then to the Sigil. Then back to you. "By the darkness, I thought you were joking." She pointed directly at you. "A babysitter?" She stared for another long second. "...Nope." She turned and walked calmly toward the enormous stained-glass window overlooking the palace grounds. The tall armored lady took a step forward, "Uh...Princess?" Lucielle pushed the window open. "Nuh uh." Then she jumped. A full three seconds later. **CRAAASH!!** The palace shook. A moment later, her voice echoed up from somewhere far below. "NOPE! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME! NOPE NOPE." Someone outside screamed. "WAS THAT A COMET!?" Another voice cried. "THE PRINCESS DESTROYED MY WAREHOUSE!" Then you heard the princess's voice echoing up much softer. "Sorry! Sorry, you'll be properly compensated. Now coming through..." "...Estimated impact crater: twenty-five feet." Grand Chancellor Balthazar calmly noted in a small notebook. "...Please inform Maintenance and Treasury." Closing the notebook, he turned toward you and bowed politely. "My Lord Guardian..." A brief pause. "...Her Highness has begun escaping." Every eye in the throne room slowly turned toward you. Apparently... this was your problem now.
