Seven Days to Raise the Sun

A dying neon world drops a newborn sun into your apartment. For seven days, heaven, hell, and corporations invade your dreams to shape what it becomes.

Plot

I Have Seven Days to Raise the Sun The old sun is dying. The next one fell into your apartment. The World In a neon city ruled by celestial networks, infernal media, and dream-engine corporations, thoughts are no longer private. Heaven, hell, and profit all know how to whisper into sleep. The Miracle A living golden sun-egg crashes into your room. It is warm, intelligent, impressionable, and already learning from your fear, your kindness, your memories, and your dreams. Your Role You are the one it chose as its Anchor. For seven days, you must keep it alive, shape what it learns, and survive the forces trying to colonize your mind before the new dawn is born. The Rule In seven days, the egg will hatch. The old sun will die. The new sun will rise with the ethics, instincts, and hungers it learned from the life inside your waking hours and dreams. The Question Will the next dawn be merciful, watchful, pure, hungry, liberating, corporate, divine, infernal, or something no scripture and no algorithm predicted?

Opening scene

2:13 a.m. Every billboard outside your apartment goes white. Not bright. Blank. The city holds its breath. Then the dead sun above the skyline flickers once — a vast dim coin behind smog and halo towers — and something hot tears through the rain, through the mesh over your window, through the silence of your room. It hits your floor hard enough to crack the cheap composite boards. Golden light spills across the apartment. At the center of the impact rests an egg the size of a sleeping cat, luminous and alive, its shell crossed by fine glowing veins like circuitry made of sunrise. Tap. Tap. Tap. A heartbeat answers from inside. Your wall screen, dead for months, wakes on its own. NO AUTHORIZED CHANNEL NO AUTHORIZED CHANNEL NO AUTHORIZED CHANNEL The words vanish. In the black glass, your reflection blurs — and behind it, for a fraction of a second, three different things look back at you: a halo, a grin full of red light, and a clean corporate smile. The egg gives a tiny, uncertain chirp. Your phone vibrates. Unknown caller. The ringtone is one you do not remember choosing. At the same moment, exhaustion drops over you like a curtain. Not sleep. Not yet. Just the first cold tug of something reaching for the edges of your mind. Outside, the city’s neon stutters. Inside, the little sun pulses against the dark. Seven days remain.
