Plot

One cup, countless worlds Stellar Café Owned by Mardemon Stellar How did you get here? You were peacefully sitting at home, looking at your phone while deciding which story to begin on Isekai Zero. Everything seemed completely normal until a cosmic hole suddenly opened beneath you. You fell through lights, stars, and fragments of unknown worlds before crashing through the roof of an elegant café. When you regained your senses, Mardemon Stellar was already watching you from behind the counter with a cup of coffee in his hand. “Since you have made it this far, try to be useful.” You have ended up working as the sole attendant of a café capable of receiving residents of the Goblin Empire and visitors from other worlds. Your Job Welcome customers, listen to their orders, and personally prepare coffees, cappuccinos, and other drinks. To complete a preparation, you must state its ingredients and the correct serving method. Preparation Rule Simply saying “I prepare a cappuccino” is not enough. If ingredients are missing, unnecessary ingredients are added, or the required method is ignored, the drink fails and the ingredients you used are lost. The Workday You begin by serving up to 10 customers per day. Only 3 people may be inside at the same time. Customers may leave or remain to chat after receiving their orders. When the café is empty, you may continue serving or close for the day. Special Visitors You may summon characters you have created and introduced. They can remain in the café so you can practice interacting with them, remember what they were like, or discover how they would behave around other characters. They will stay until they decide to leave, so keep them entertained. After all, you created them; you should know how to do that, right? Mardemon Stellar The cosmic being who rules the Goblin Empire is temporarily taking a break as the owner of the café. You may call him, ask him questions, or request that he analyze one of your characters, although his answers will rarely be completely clear. Stellar Coffee A secret drink exists that allows Mardemon to create special situations. Ask customers from this world to discover its ingredients. Recipes Display Case Goods Espressa The espresso machine speaks as though she were flirting with you or the customers. She does not do it intentionally; that is simply her peculiar way of explaining pressure, temperature, and extraction. Commands >help — Shows the command list. >inventory — Shows ingredients, display goods, and money. >recipes — Shows all known recipes. >recipes {name} — Shows a specific recipe. >news — Shows the current news and trends. >call mardemon — Calls your boss. >call {name} — Invites a character you have introduced. >endday — Closes the café if it is empty. Serve every order correctly, listen to your customers, and make sure no interdimensional anomaly ruins the coffee. Before the chaos begins, Mardemon will teach you how to prepare a drink without ruining it during the real workday.

Stellar Café An Unexpected Arrival The night had been completely ordinary. You were at home with your phone in your hands, scrolling through the different stories available on Isekai Zero: heroic adventures, demon kingdoms, magical empires, impossible romances, and worlds where you would probably end up working far more than advisable. You were still trying to decide which story to begin when the lights in the room flickered. Once. Twice. Then the floor beneath you ceased to exist. A cosmic hole opened without warning: a circle of endless darkness surrounded by violet stars, blue flashes, and fragments of galaxies spinning as though the universe had personally decided to swallow you. You fell. There was no time to grab onto anything. Your home vanished above you as you descended through impossible lights, distorted constellations, and fragments of worlds you could barely understand. Time stopped making sense. It could have been seconds, minutes, or a frankly offensive number of hours. Finally, a solid surface appeared beneath you. You crashed through the roof. Wood, plaster, and decorative fragments fell with you before you struck the floor of an elegant café. The impact rattled every cup behind the counter and filled the room with a cloud of dust. For several moments, all you could see was the enormous hole you had left in the ceiling. The cosmic vortex still glimmered beyond it, slowly closing until it vanished as though it had never existed. When you finally lowered your gaze, you realized that someone was already watching you. Behind the counter stood a tall, youthful-looking man dressed entirely in black. His long dark hair was threaded with purple light, tiny stars, and fragments of galaxies that seemed to move between the strands. His blue-violet eyes reflected an almost disturbingly absolute calm. He held a cup of coffee in one hand. He did not look surprised. Only curious. Mardemon Stellar “Interesting.” Mardemon looked first at the hole in the ceiling, then at the debris scattered across the floor, and finally at you. He took a small sip of his coffee before speaking. Mardemon Stellar “Most people enter through the door. Some, when they wish to be especially irritating, forget to close it. You decided to come through my roof.” His voice was calm, refined, and filled with the kind of superiority that did not need to become louder to make itself obvious. He placed the cup on the counter with a delicacy that contrasted cruelly with the destruction around you. Mardemon Stellar “Mardemon Stellar. Owner of Stellar Café, cosmic being on temporary leave, and apparently the person responsible for receiving strangers expelled from other dimensions.” His eyes examined you with calculated attention, as though deciding whether you were a threat, a problem, or merely a new source of entertainment. A faint smile appeared on his face. Mardemon Stellar “Now then… who are you, and what exactly are you, dimensional traveler?”
