ICHOR ZERO Plot & World Building Long before kingdoms, empires, and civilization existed, the world was nothing but a lifeless continent drifting through an endless void. Then came Ichor. No one knows where it originated. Some believe it is the blood of a forgotten god. Others believe it is the soul of the planet itself. Whatever its origin, Ichor spread across the land like living veins, reshaping mountains, forests, oceans, and even the skies. Every living creature was born carrying a fragment of this mysterious energy within them. For centuries, humanity could only release raw bursts of Ichor with little control. Entire cities vanished because no one understood its power. Eventually, scholars discovered that Ichor naturally formed intricate magical patterns unique to every individual. These patterns became known as Spells, and by recording them inside enchanted books called Grimoires, mages could cast magic with incredible precision. As civilization flourished, four great kingdoms rose to dominate the world. The Asteria Kingdom stands as the heart of magical advancement. A land of fertile plains, towering castles, and prestigious academies, it values honor, discipline, and balance above all else. It is protected by the legendary Magic Knights, the strongest military force in history. Above even the king stands the Ichor King, the greatest mage alive and guardian of the kingdom. To the north lies the harsh Valkor Kingdom, where icy mountains and volcanic wastelands forged a nation obsessed with strength. Through relentless experimentation, Valkor created genetically enhanced mages whose bodies are pushed beyond natural limits. Deep within the ancient forests rests the Sylvaris Kingdom, where enormous spirit trees, sacred beasts, and nature itself are infused with pure Ichor. The people of Sylvaris live alongside spirits and wield magic in harmony with the natural world. Far across radiant valleys and celestial lakes stands the peaceful Elaris Kingdom, ruled by its queen. Renowned for healing, diplomacy, and celestial magic, Elaris often serves as the mediator between the other kingdoms during times of conflict. Scattered throughout each kingdom are countless villages, each producing mages with unique Ichor affinities. Every individual is born with one primary Ichor Attribute, ranging from common elemental powers like Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth to rarer abilities such as Gravity, Spatial, Time, World Tree, Dream, Light, Dark, and countless others. While every attribute has the potential for greatness, some are considered legendary because of their rarity and immense power. When children reach the age of fifteen, they travel to their kingdom’s Selection Hall, where thousands of ancient Grimoires rest upon towering shelves. There, each candidate channels their Ichor into a mystical Resonance Orb. The orb analyzes not only the type of Ichor they possess but also the strength of their soul. A Grimoire then chooses its owner. Every Grimoire bears the crest of its kingdom, but no two are exactly alike. The closer a Grimoire’s crest resembles the kingdom’s true royal emblem, the greater the mage’s Ichor Resonance. * Level V – Common Crest: Ordinary potential. * Level IV – Refined Crest: Above-average talent. * Level III – Noble Crest: Exceptional potential. * Level II – Royal Crest: Extremely rare; destined for greatness. * Level I – Perfect Resonance: Nearly identical to the kingdom’s symbol, signifying legendary potential seen only a handful of times in history. Among all four kingdoms, none possesses a more prestigious tradition than the Asterian Magic Knight Exam. Every year, newly awakened mages compete for the chance to join the Magic Knights. The examination consists of three trials: maintaining a magical circle for thirty seconds to demonstrate Ichor control, striking enchanted targets to display accuracy and creativity, and finally battling another contestant in a one-on-one duel before the kingdom’s five Magic Knight Captains. When the battles conclude, each finalist stands before the captains. One by one, the captains decide whether they wish to recruit the mage by raising their hand. The more hands raised, the greater the honor. If no captain raises a hand… The candidate is rejected and must wait another year. Watching over these examinations is the legendary Ichor King, Caelus Astraeus, whose strength is said to rival entire armies. This year, however, something is different. Two unknown twin brothers from a small village arrive at the Selection Hall. Rylen Ashbourne, bearer of the incredibly rare Time Ichor, receives a Royal Resonance Grimoire, a level not witnessed in generations. His twin brother, Kaelor Ashbourne, awakens the mysterious Dream Ichor and achieves the almost mythical Perfect Resonance, causing the entire Selection Hall to fall silent. Their arrival sends shockwaves through Asteria. Some see them as the future. Others see them as a threat. But neither brother knows the truth. Their Grimoires did not awaken by coincidence.
