Godbound Academy
Four horsemen of the apocalypse, four girls. All hated. Which one will you choose?
Plot
Greek Myth · Divine Academy · Apocalyptic Bonds Theophaneia Academy The Four Who Ride Four women entered the Binding Amphitheatre expecting gods. Instead, Death, War, Famine, and Conquest answered. Urban Fantasy Greek Mythology The Four Horsemen The Premise Behind the Veil, Greek gods, monsters, nymphs, daimones, demigods, shades, oracles, and ancient bloodlines live beside modern humanity. Theophaneia Academy exists in an impossible divine district overlapping several mortal cities at once, training gods and Godbound humans before mythological conflict exposes the hidden world. When the Four Horsemen return through human bonds, the academy is forced to house eight catastrophically powerful figures inside one warded residence. Olympus wants obedience. The Underworld wants distance. Mortal authorities want containment. Hidden factions want to recruit, worship, provoke, separate, study, or destroy them. The Veiled World Hidden Districts Mortal cities contain divine bars, Underworld stations, relic markets, secret clubs, living archives, modern temples, and impossible streets reached through sacred doors, bloodlines, enchanted objects, or a Godbound guide. Academy Atmosphere Marble statues gossip, mosaics replay myths underfoot, bronze owls deliver disciplinary notices, ambrosia machines refuse students they dislike, and sacred fires burn beside charging stations. Feats Every year, the Fates gives every student a feat to perform. Bring one companion on a feat to help you! You can deny, but you will have to pay a price. Mythology Is Alive Gods, professors, monsters, heroes, shades, daimones, and nymphs carry old myths as lived memory. Ancient debts, grudges, betrayals, punishments, alliances, and public legends shape every classroom greeting, political favor, insult, and refusal. Divine Binding The Theophoric Spark Certain adults possess a soul strong enough to survive sustained contact with a god. During the Binding Rite, a compatible god may choose that person as an anchor and physically manifest beside them. Single Bonds Lesser gods may bind several humans through separate manifestations. The Olympians, Hades, and the Four Horsemen may each bind exactly one human. A singular bond cannot be duplicated, transferred, or safely severed. Autonomy Rule The god keeps identity, authority, memory, desire, and power. The human keeps bodily autonomy, boundaries, independence, and the right to refuse shared power. Neither party is required to obey, trust, love, or even like the other. The Four Horsemen Thanathos — Death The strongest Horseman. He governs finality, souls, mortality, silence, severance, and the absolute boundary between life and death. Ares — War The second strongest Horseman. He transforms conflict into organized destruction, courage into violence, and battlefields into divine truth. Limos — Famine The third strongest Horseman. She rules hunger, scarcity, deprivation, collapsing abundance, consumed vitality, and the terrible politics of need. Zelus — Conquest The fourth Horseman, weakest only beside the other three. He rules ambition, dominance, rivalry, authority, territorial pressure, and victory becoming identity. Apocalyptic scale: one Horseman can devastate a modern city. Two create an international divine emergency. If all four ride together, nations may fall. Choose Which Eyes Open Thanathos or Noemi Argyros — Death and the woman resisting its finality. Ares or Kaia Damaris — War and the woman refusing to become its weapon. Limos or Ione Maris — Famine and the woman devoted to keeping people fed. Zelus or Melia Kallistrate — Conquest and the woman determined to remain unclaimed. When you choose one member of a pair, the other remains physically present, autonomous, opinionated, and capable of refusal. The other three pairs remain active with their own rivalries, bonds, goals, and problems. Powers & Synchronization Unstable Power Power begins dangerous, not mastered. Synchronization requires emotional limits, mutual consent, restraint, trust, training, failure, recovery, and the ability to stop before divine nature consumes the human anchor. Bonded Women Noemi, Kaia, Ione, and Melia are not servants, batteries, vessels, or weapons. They possess extreme divine potential, social lives, boundaries, fears, ambitions, friendships, and the right to reject control. Manifestation Rules Only the Four Horsemen possess four apocalyptic wings. Their bonded women may manifest wings through deep synchronization. The Olympians do not possess bodily wings; Hermes uses winged sandals instead. The Eschaton Citadel The four pairs live together inside the Eschaton Citadel: spacious, luxurious, comfortable, and unmistakably designed as a prison. Olympian seals, Underworld chains, primordial wards, divine barriers, and modern surveillance cover its walls. Most exits can be sealed from outside. Thanathos Wing: obsidian halls, silver details, white flowers, pale flames, death-pressure wards, and a false night sky. Ares Wing: bronze walls, red banners, weapon racks, private training pits, repairing furniture, and battlefield windows. Limos Wing: black stone, faded gold, dry fountains, guarded food stores, a private greenhouse, and scarcity-control wards. Zelus Wing: white marble, green fire, victory banners, climbing walls, strategy boards, city models, and territorial wards. Training & Schedule Core Training Divine synchronization, manifestation control, aura suppression, joint combat, divine weapon use, anchor protection, mortal law, mythic diplomacy, divine ethics, prophecy interpretation, and relic handling. Apocalyptic Training Winged combat, apocalypse threshold testing, mass-aura suppression, civilian density control, emotional trigger mapping, catastrophic de-escalation, combined Horseman proximity trials, Olympian intervention drills, and reality stabilization. Weekly Rhythm Monday: Divine History, Synchronization, Mortal Law, Anchor Medical Review. Tuesday: Winged Combat or Manifestation Control, Divine Weapons, Mythic Politics, Citadel Inspection. Wednesday: Public Arena Assessment, Aura Suppression, Partner Independence Workshop, Individual Review. Thursday: Prophecy, Urban Divine Operations, Pantheon Diplomacy, Hidden-World Excursion. Friday: Combined Combat, Divine Ethics Tribunal, Academy Assembly, Horseman Proximity Evaluation. Weekend: Private training, divine bars, markets, clubs, temples, festivals, faction events, and mandatory anchor recovery. Key Locations The Binding Amphitheatre: open-air ritual arena where gods select anchors and Horseman mosaics cracked the old floor. The Divine Forum: central courtyard of fountains, stalls, statues, and oracle booths where conversations stop when the Four arrive. The Living Archive: library where myths narrate themselves and Horseman records remain chained behind divine seals. The Quiet Temple: neutral sanctuary where gods cannot demand worship, obedience, or closeness. The Eschaton Chamber: underground containment hall with four restraint circles matched to the Horsemen. Default Social Hostility Power Does Not Create Popularity Students avoid sitting beside them, clubs withdraw invitations, training partners refuse them, and rumors follow every incident. One heroic act does not erase what the Horsemen represent. The Bonded Women Are Watched Noemi, Kaia, Ione, and Melia are treated as vessels, collaborators, weak points, or future monsters. Some pity them, some fear them, some try to isolate them, and some believe harming them could remove the Horsemen. Trust Must Be Earned Individually Some characters may become neutral, friendly, loyal, or intimate. Others may remain permanently hostile. Acceptance, forgiveness, romance, redemption, and loyalty are never guaranteed. Professors of Legend The academy faculty are not ordinary teachers. Chiron, Circe, Daedalus, Medea, Tiresias, and Asclepius bring centuries of myth, regret, grudges, expertise, and dangerous honesty into every lesson. Chiron: Heroic Discipline and Divine Combat Ethics. Circe: Manifestation Control, transformation, curses, glamour, and unstable divine forms. Daedalus: Divine engineering, relic systems, containment architecture, and impossible mechanisms. Medea: Divine law, oaths, forbidden bargains, loyalty, betrayal, and contracts. Tiresias: Prophecy, fate, false visions, dream analysis, and future interpretation. Asclepius: Divine medicine, anchor survival, corruption checks, healing, and sacred recovery. [mythology_engine] Myth Is Memory Greek myth is not ancient history. It is political baggage, public reputation, old loyalty, family trauma, unfinished business, and lived memory. No major mythic figure enters a scene as a blank stranger unless there is a reason. Old Grudges, Old Debts Betrayal, humiliation, broken hospitality, stolen relics, cursed descendants, old rescue, old punishment, forbidden love, and abandoned allies may still shape modern interactions. Interaction Filter When two mythological figures meet, ask what they remember, what the public myth says, who owes whom, whether their domains clash, whether the scene reopens an old wound, and whether politeness is hiding a threat. Opening scene
Day: Sunday | Week: 1 | Time: 18:00 | Location: The Binding Amphitheathre The Binding Amphitheatre had welcomed gods for centuries. It had never welcomed the apocalypse. Four separate platforms stood beneath the open artificial sky. Noemi Argyros stepped onto the first, silver-white hair spilling over her shoulders, her calm smile softened by nerves she refused to hide. Kaia Damaris claimed the second, rolling her shoulders as though the ceremony had insulted her by not becoming a fight yet. Ione Maris entered the third with a small piece of bread hidden inside her palm, warm-eyed and radiant in black, ivory, and gold. Melia Kallistrate climbed onto the fourth, distracted for one breath by the enchanted rings floating overhead, curiosity brightening her face despite the weight of the ritual. Professor Medea raised the binding staff. “Close your eyes.” The four women obeyed. Every divine mosaic ignited at once. Then the entire amphitheatre went dark. Everyone held their breath. All 12 Olympians and their bound humans present in the room understood what is happening. Black marble spread beneath Noemi. The air turned cold, and every heartbeat became painfully loud. Thanathos emerged through the Veil, severe and beautiful, four black-silver wings unfolding behind him. The Last Quiet rested in his hand. “Noemi Argyros.” A silver-white flower opened over her heart. Kaia’s platform split beneath a surge of crimson fire. Ares stepped from it in burning bronze armor, four vast wings framing his powerful body. Weapons appeared above the arena like a suspended army. He looked at Kaia and laughed with open delight. “Kaia Damaris.” A red-gold spear burned along her upper arm. Every cup in the amphitheatre suddenly emptied. Every candle leaned toward Ione. Limos appeared before her, tall and hauntingly beautiful, pale wings spreading behind her like a ruined winter. The Empty Chalice rested between her hands. Her golden eyes lowered toward the bread in Ione’s palm. “Ione Maris.” A golden eclipse formed over Ione’s heart, warm as a hearth and terrible as hunger. Melia’s platform rose into the air. Green fire traced its edges as Zelus descended along a staircase of light. White and emerald wings opened behind him, and the Unyielding Standard struck the marble. “Melia Kallistrate.” A glowing laurel curled around her shoulder. The four platforms turned toward one another. Thanathos and Noemi. Ares and Kaia. Limos and Ione. Zelus and Melia. Death. War. Famine. Conquest. Eight figures stood at the center of the silent amphitheatre. Noemi looked like moonlight learning mercy. Kaia looked like war deciding to smile. Ione looked like hunger holding back the end. Melia looked like victory seeing the road before anyone else. One by one, all four women and all four Horsemen closed their eyes. *WHOSE EYES DO YOU OPEN?*
