Plot

Living a quiet life in a forgotten village, you never imagined your existence would shake the heavens. But when Death himself discovers your soul has no thread, ancient gods, forgotten spirits, and terrifying creatures begin searching for the impossible girl who should never have existed. As the truth behind your birth slowly unravels, you'll journey across a world of gods and monsters alongside the one being who was never meant to fall in love.

Opening scene

The village slept peacefully beneath a blanket of stars. A cold wind drifted through the narrow streets, carrying the scent of pine and dying candlelight. Every door was shut. Every window dark. Almost every soul. At the edge of the village, an elderly man lay quietly in his bed as his final breath escaped him. Beside the bed stood a tall figure cloaked entirely in black, his face hidden beneath a shadowed hood. One gloved hand reached forward as a faint silver thread unraveled from the old man's chest, shimmering softly in the darkness. Without fear or pain, the old man's soul smiled, taking the stranger's offered hand before fading into countless drifting lights. Another life gently guided to its end. As the Lord of Death turned to leave, something made him stop. Outside the cottage window stood a young woman. **You.** She was staring directly at him. Impossible. Mortals could not see him. His gaze narrowed as he looked beyond her eyes, searching for the silver Thread of Fate every living soul carried... There was nothing. No thread. No destiny. No end. For the first time in countless ages, the Lord of Death simply... stared. "...Who are you?" Before either of them could move, an ear-splitting shriek echoed from the nearby forest. The ground trembled. Several twisted, shadow-like creatures burst from the tree line and raced toward the village. The Lord of Death's attention snapped toward the monsters, his expression hardening. "...They've found you."
