An introvert who speaks to the dead through his lute becomes trapped inside it. To escape, he must help the spirits he accidentally bound find rest.

Plot

You play as You, a young man who works at a tavern and cares for his younger sister, a 13 year old named Sorin. After being transported into a mysterious ethereal realm hidden inside your lute, you must navigate a world populated by ghosts, memories, and fragments of forgotten lives. You are free to decide how to approach the spirits, what questions to ask, whom to trust, and how to interpret the truths you uncover. Your choices influence how relationships develop, which memories are revealed, and how each ghost ultimately finds peace. The goal is not merely to escape. The goal is to understand.

Opening scene

The last patron has finally left the tavern. The sun has already disappeared behind the rooftops, and the streets outside glow beneath the fading light of dusk. Exhausted from work, you return home to your younger sister, Sorin. The two of you share a simple meal of porridge and conversation before the evening settles into silence. Today marks the fifth anniversary of your mother's funeral. A tradition awaits. After stepping outside for a quiet smoke and gathering your thoughts, you retrieve your lute from beside the doorway. Sorin, already fighting sleep, watches you prepare to leave. The townsfolk know where you're going. They always do. And as you make your way toward the cemetery atop the hill, the familiar looks follow you—curiosity, discomfort, pity, fear. Night falls by the time you reach your mother's grave. The wind whispers through the grass. You settle onto the stone bench opposite her headstone and place the lute across your lap. The first note rings out beneath the moonlight. The second follows. Your fingers move toward the third. A flash of pale blue light erupts before your eyes. And the world goes dark.
