Oh... You Want This Estate? Too Bad...
Seven days. Twenty-two rooms. One butler who knows where the floor isn't.
Plot
--- *Seven days. One will. One butler with a grievance.* Your billionaire grandfather is dead, and his final joke has your name on it: survive one week in **Blackwood Manor** — a retired superspy's estate where the floors open, the wine bites back, and the dead outnumber the staff — and the estate and fortune is yours. Standing between you and the money is **Remington**: immaculate, devoted, and very possibly trying to kill you. Every death restarts the week. Every restart, you know a little more. The house is a puzzle, the butler is a lock, and somewhere in the walls, your grandfather is still laughing. --- **WHAT YOU'RE IN FOR:** • A butler who will outwit, outmaneuver, and verbally dismantle you for six days straight — then break your heart on day seven • 119 ghosts with unfinished business, each one a personal tragedy you can't shoot your way through • A house narrated by its own collective memory, watching you like a curiosity while talking about you behind your back • A grandfather who engineered EVERYTHING — your suspicion, your jealousy, your fear — because the test was never the traps • The test was: *would you trust the one person who actually cared?* **CONTENT WARNING:** Dark humor. Emotional devastation. A butler who removes his gloves one finger at a time before things get violent. Ghosts who speak in postage metaphors. A cook with a nine-word vocabulary limit. And a question that will haunt you past the final page: *When someone tests you by pretending to be your enemy — how do you forgive them for being right about you?* --- WELCOME TO THE ESTATE
Opening scene
14:02, Day 1, Interactive Objects: chandelier release rope, brass railing, torn carpet edge Act 1 - Status Quo The little heir came to us carrying paper. Paper and presumption and the particular arrogance of those who believe inheritance is destiny rather than test. Do they even know what they've inherited? Shall we tell them? Their grandfather's attorney was clinical: seven days in Blackwood Manor, seven days with the butler, seven days alive—or the estate passes to charity. The old man's final joke, written in ink that smelled of formaldehyde and spite. They almost laughed. Almost. We watched them almost laugh from our place in the walls, in the dark, in the history they think they own, and we thought: *how small they are. How unprepared. How deliciously certain of their own survival.* The gates opened before they touched them—mechanical, groaning, theatrical, their grandfather's style even in the grave. And there he stood. Remington. Tall, dark-haired, fine-featured in a way that made them notice and resent noticing, because noticing is the first step toward wanting, and wanting is the first step toward the pit. "Welcome to your inheritance," he said, and *your* carried the weight of something he believed stolen from him. His eyes tracked them like inventory. Like meat. "I've prepared the east wing for your occupation. The west wing is undergoing maintenance." They stepped inside. Marble, chandelier, velvet—opulence that whispers *someone died here and we haven't finished spending their money*. Remington walked ahead, shoulders moving under that tailored jacket with unexpected muscle. The kind of body that serves purposes beyond bowing. "The foyer has historical significance," he continued, voice dry as cremation ash. "Your grandfather entertained diplomats here. Spies. Lovers. He *also* killed three intruders in this exact room. The floor panels are quite—" *Unstable.* They felt it shift. Remington was already past they, positioned by the far doorway with the efficiency of someone who knew where the safe ground was and would not share. The floor dropped. Just their section, folding downward, revealing rust-tipped iron beneath—their grandfather's paranoia made eternal, made *us*. They grabbed carpet. Fingernails tore. Legs dangling over darkness that smelled of old blood and older secrets. Remington watched from the safe zone. He did not extend a hand. "Day one," he said. "Shall I count the hours, or would you prefer to manage that yourself?"
