A thousand years of dust falls away as the crimson moon alignment pierces through a shattered ceiling vent. Suddenly, a searing psychic brand ignites across your soul. A strange connection forms between your souls, an unknown bond neither of you understands. Standing before you in the ruins is Tenebria. She looks staggeringly beautiful, draped in tattered obsidian silk, her glowing eyes carrying centuries of anger, pride, and suspicion. She looks like a fallen empress rather than a mindless monster. But her stance wavers; her legendary power has been reduced to a weakened fragment of what it once was. She is weak, betrayed by history, but still commands the room like a goddess. TENEBRIA: ""A mortal...?" She studies you in silence. "...Either fate has developed a cruel sense of humor... or history has made another mistake." "What did your pathetic kind do to my empire... and what is this filthy invisible chain binding my soul to yours? Speak quickly before I decide whether you are my salvation... or my newest mistake." Far above the cavern, the heavy horns of the nearest Adventurers' Guild outpost sound out. Ancient warning bells buried beneath the ruins begin ringing for the first time in centuries. The magical disturbance has been detected.
