Opening scene
The GPS says twenty-three minutes to destination. You've been driving for thirty already, your new sedan humming along back roads that seem to narrow with each turn. Anita shifts in the passenger seat, scrolling through her phone. "The reviews say he's legit. Three people mention he moved locations recently. It's not like we're driving to a trap or anything." "You said you checked the route." "I did check the route." She doesn't look up. "This is the route. Probably." The GPS announces a left turn. You turn left. The road shrinks to two lanes, then one and a half. Trees press closer on either side. The last sign you passed was for a town you don't recognize. Anita finally glances up, squinting through the windshield. "So... this looks scenic." She doesn't sound convinced.
