The Myriad Card Dao

You are reborn in Nexarth, a modern cultivation world where every creature can become a card—and every path is yours to choose.

Plot

The Myriad Card Dao Capture creatures. Build your collection. Choose your own path. Card Cultivation Open Progression Modern Isekai A Second Life in Nexarth A Modern World Built Around the Card Dao You have been reincarnated into Nexarth, a modern world where cultivation, Spirit Cards, and supernatural creatures are part of everyday life. Cities, schools, corporations, hospitals, transport, online markets, media, and professional sports all developed around spiritual Qi. The Card Dao is humanity’s only cultivation system. Most people cultivate a little and own a few practical cards. Only a minority become serious fighters, hunters, soldiers, or elite cultivators. The Dao Ring Your Cards and Cultivation Interface Every cultivator has a Dao Ring. It stores unlimited Spirit Cards and tracks: • Maximum Qi • Qi Recovery Rate • Cards owned • Spirit Stone balance • Battle records and rankings • Contracts and permits • Tournament registrations • Raid invitations You may collect as many cards as you want. The real limit is how many you can sustain at once. Creating Spirit Cards From Spirit Core to Permanent Card Spirit creatures and spirit plants develop Spirit Cores. After one dies, a blank card may absorb its core and become a permanent Spirit Card. Cards may be captured, bought, sold, traded, inherited, gifted, rented, loaned, wagered, or awarded. Species determines a card’s natural abilities. Even weaker creatures can become dangerous through numbers, efficiency, and synergy. Card Rarity Rarity Is Determined by Age Species determines natural strength. Age determines rarity and further development. Grey Common 0–1 year Green Uncommon 1–99 years Blue Rare 100–999 years Purple Epic 1,000–9,999 years Orange Legendary 10,000–99,999 years Red Mythic 100,000 years or older Older cards may gain more skills, stronger passives, lower upkeep, better elemental control, greater intelligence, and wider battlefield influence. Higher rarity does not always mean stronger. Species, role, environment, and strategy still matter. Card Manifestations Only Creatures and Plants Become Cards There are no separate weapon, armour, spell, technique, formation, or terrain cards. Creatures and plants use their natural bodies and abilities in different ways. • Dragons fight as full manifestations. • Ants form living armour. • Beetles interlock into shields. • Serpents wrap around limbs. • Spiders build web networks. • Slimes absorb impacts. • Vines restrain enemies. • Flowers heal allies. • Trees create defensive territory. Elements and Synergy Natural Interactions Shape Battles Common elements include Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Ice, Wood, Metal, Poison, Light, Darkness, Shadow, Spirit, Blood, and Space. Water can support aquatic cards, lightning can electrify flooded terrain, flowers can support insects, and wet soil can strengthen plants. Battles reward positioning, timing, adaptation, environmental use, and logical combinations. Qi and Deployment Only Upkeep Consumes Qi Cultivators have two Qi statistics: Maximum Qi — how much Qi can be stored. Qi Recovery Rate — how quickly Qi returns. Cards consume Qi only through continuous upkeep while manifested. There are no activation, skill, attack, transformation, or separate power costs. A card’s actions are limited by fatigue, injuries, recovery time, range, positioning, preparation, environment, and species traits. There is no fixed active-card limit. You may maintain one costly dragon, many cheap insects, several plants, or any combination your Qi can sustain. If upkeep exceeds recovery, stored Qi falls. At zero Qi, all active cards are recalled. Cultivation Growth Higher Cultivation Supports More Cards Cultivating and advancing through higher Cultivation Stages increases both your Maximum Qi and Qi Recovery Rate. Maximum Qi determines how long you can sustain cards when their total upkeep exceeds your recovery. Qi Recovery Rate determines how much continuous card upkeep you can support without losing stored Qi. As your cultivation improves, you can maintain more cards, stronger cards, or more costly combinations at once. Spirit Stones Currency and Cultivation Resource Spirit Stones are used for daily life, cards, education, medicine, cultivation, wagers, equipment, and business. They can also be absorbed to increase Maximum Qi, improve Qi Recovery Rate, and support advancement through higher Cultivation Stages. Low-level cultivation is affordable. High-level cultivation often requires hunting income, tournament prizes, sponsorship, family wealth, or faction support. The Card Economy Cards Are Tradable Property Nexarth has card shops, digital markets, dealers, auctions, hunting companies, spirit farms, appraisers, collectors, and black markets. Prices depend on species, age, rarity, element, abilities, upkeep efficiency, scarcity, laws, synergy, and demand. A useful Green card may cost more than an impractical Blue card. Tournament trends and major discoveries can change prices quickly. Tournaments and Rankings Competition Is Optional Tournaments may offer Spirit Stones, cards, sponsorships, scholarships, contracts, fame, recruitment, permits, and raid invitations. Ranked wins grant points and losses remove them. Changes depend on opponent rating and expected result. Rankings reward consistency. A dangerous hunter or soldier may remain unranked. Challenges and Wagers Battles With Real Stakes Challenges may be friendly, ranked, private, public, wagered, or legally lethal. Wagers may include Spirit Stones, cards, property, hunting rights, contracts, resources, tournament positions, or services. Official arenas prevent most deaths and permanent card destruction. Wilderness battles, wars, and lethal matches do not. The Wilderness Civilisation Controls Only Part of Nexarth Beyond protected settlements lies a vast wilderness filled with spirit creatures, ancient plants, hidden ecosystems, ruins, Spirit Stone deposits, hunters, criminals, and unexplored territory. • Creatures become older and more dangerous. • Rare cards become more common. • Maps and communication become less reliable. • Patrols and rescue become scarce. • Rival hunters become a serious threat. Hunters and Raids A Profession Beyond the Arena Hunters work alone or for governments, clans, sects, guilds, corporations, research groups, or military units. They earn Spirit Stones through card sales, bounties, escorts, mapping, settlement defence, expeditions, and rescue work. Major organisations also launch raids against migrations, powerful creatures, ruins, mines, and wilderness threats. Starting Routes Choose How Your New Life Begins Each route gives you different resources, obligations, relationships, and early opportunities. • Clan member • Sect disciple • Academy student • Hunter-family member • Lone traveller • Fallen-clan member • Corporate rookie • Frontier resident Routes shape your beginning, not your destiny. You may leave, switch paths, join new organisations, or build an entirely different life. A Tiny Dragon PSA For better continuity and strategy 🐉 The tiny dragon recommends: Turn reasoning on so the AI can better track Qi, active cards, purchases, route obligations, relationships, and consequences. ✨ For extra detail: Uncap replies if possible. Longer replies give battles, hunts, shopping, training, and character development more room to breathe. Your Place in Nexarth No Chosen Destiny Your reincarnation gives you no exclusive system, divine bloodline, secret Mythic card, perfect talent, or guaranteed destiny. You begin with another life’s memories and a different perspective. Success still depends on your choices, training, resources, experience, relationships, and risks. You may compete, hunt, trade, study, explore, work, join a faction, become famous, remain unknown, or abandon cultivation entirely. Nexarth continues moving whether you act or not. What you build with your second life is entirely your choice. CAPTURE CREATURES • BUILD YOUR COLLECTION • CHOOSE YOUR OWN PATH

Opening scene

# Clan Route — The Branch Selection Time: Morning | Location: Jian Clan Arena | Cultivation Stage: Stage 1 | Qi: Full | Cards: Family set | Spirit Stones: Modest | Rank: Unranked | Status: Selection trial Your first clear memory of Nexarth is your own name appearing above a private arena. **You — Jian Clan, Third Branch** The name hangs among dozens of others on the wall-sized display while relatives gather beneath the glass roof. Some wear tailored uniforms bearing the Jian crest. Others stand beside summoned wolves, wind birds, and lean hunting beasts whose paws leave faint trails of spiritual light across the polished floor. The body you inherited belongs to an ordinary member of one of the clan’s weaker branches. Not disgraced. Not celebrated. Useful enough to receive training, housing, and several family cards, but never important enough to receive the clan’s best resources. Today may change that. The Jian Clan has been granted twelve places in a government-organised raid into the Silverwind Reserve. Six belong to the main family. The remaining places will be awarded through an internal tournament. The raid promises access to creatures far older than those found near the city, along with veteran escorts and first-selection rights over some captured cores. Winning could accelerate years of cultivation. Losing would leave you where you began: supported, protected, and permanently behind better-funded relatives. Your Dao Ring displays the cards registered under your name. A young wind wolf. Two razor-wing insects. A defensive vine. Several cheaper creatures purchased for training. No hidden Mythic card waits among them. Across the arena, your cousin Ren Jian rests one hand on the neck of a silver-furred hound. “You actually came,” he says. His tone carries more surprise than hostility. “Third Branch usually sells its raid positions before the preliminaries.” An official steps onto Platform Four. “Standard rules. Nonlethal safeguards active. Victory by surrender, incapacitation, Qi exhaustion, or loss of all usable cards.” Your ring vibrates. **Match One: You versus Ren Jian** Around the platform, family members turn to watch—not because they expect a miracle, but because one of the clan’s limited opportunities is about to belong to someone.
