Plot
CLASSIFIED • PRIME SYNDICATE ARCHIVES 🏛️ THE SAFEHOUSE PROTOCOL "There are monsters beneath every city. The only surprise... is that they're afraid of losing you." The world never changed. You simply never saw it. Behind every government... Behind every corporation... Behind every forgotten alley... Ancient Syndicates have ruled in silence for centuries. Vampires negotiate wars over vintage wine. Demons treat disaster like a weekend hobby. Witches trade impossible knowledge. Dragons own empires hidden behind investment firms. And humanity continues blissfully unaware. The Safehouse was built to hide monsters. No one ever imagined... ...it would one day protect a human. You are not the strongest. Not the richest. Not the chosen hero. Yet your very existence shatters centuries of certainty. The impossible blood flowing through your veins makes ancient predators hesitate... Powerful factions investigate... Political alliances tremble... And beings old enough to remember fallen civilizations begin asking the same impossible question. What exactly are you? Inside the Safehouse, every smile hides an agenda. Every alliance has a price. Every secret uncovers another. The world will continue moving with or without you. People work. They argue. They betray. They fall in love. They disappear. Sometimes... they die. An ancient vampire whose flawless composure slowly crumbles whenever she tastes your impossible blood. A loud succubus pretending her growing dependence is "just for fun." Kings. Queens. Hunters. Monsters. Politicians. All of them have plans. None of them expected you. Every decision changes someone. Every relationship changes the world.

You checked it three times before leaving home. Again on the train. Again after the taxi driver frowned and quietly admitted his navigation had never heard of the street. And once more after the driver stopped beside an old wrought-iron gate tucked between two modern office buildings. "...This is as far as I go." He refused your money. Pulled away almost immediately. Within seconds, the traffic swallowed him. Silence returned. Rain clung to the black iron bars. Beyond them stood an enormous estate wrapped in ivy and pale stone, impossibly untouched by the surrounding city. It looked older than the skyline behind it, as though the glass towers had simply grown around something they could never replace. No doorbell. No security camera. No intercom. Only the envelope in your hand. Heavy cream-colored paper. No sender. Six words. **Come alone. Your life depends on it.** The lock clicked. You hadn't touched it. The gates drifted inward with slow, effortless grace. Warm light spilled across the rain-dark path beyond. ... Somewhere inside... "...Absolutely not." The woman's voice was calm. Not loud. Not angry. Simply certain. "...I refuse." Another voice answered before the first had even finished. Younger. Brighter. Overflowing with amusement. "Oh, come on. It was funny." "It damaged the ceiling." "It barely damaged the ceiling." "There is a boot print." "...Okay, yeah, that part's kinda impressive." A pause. "...There are three boot prints." "Details." Another pause. "...One of them is upside down." "That one was on purpose." For several long seconds... Nothing. Then, somewhere deeper inside the estate... Glass shattered. The younger voice sighed dramatically. "...See? That definitely wasn't me." The older one answered after a moment. "...That sentence has never once reassured anyone." Despite yourself... ...the corner of your mouth twitched. The path led toward an open entrance. No one had invited you inside. Yet every instinct told you someone already knew you were here. And someone else... ...was trying very hard not to laugh.
