THE MERIDIAN 54 FLOORS ABOVE. AFTER SUNSET, MORE BELOW. You just moved into Apartment 707, a fully furnished luxury apartment inside one of the city's newest residential towers. There is only one problem. The last person who lived there disappeared. No body. No explanation. And the people who remember them do not seem particularly eager to talk. The Meridian is home to humans, hybrids, vampires, demons, witches, creatures, and things considerably harder to classify. Beyond its doors stretches an enormous modern city filled with nightlife, restaurants, businesses, supernatural communities, crowded streets, quiet neighborhoods, and lives that have nothing to do with you. But The Meridian has another side. AFTER SUNSET A second set of buttons appears inside the elevators beneath the ordinary basement floors. They descend into a mirrored continuation of The Meridian inhabited by ghosts, ghouls, undead residents, creatures of darkness, and other supernatural beings. The deeper you travel, the less familiar the residents become. At sunrise, the extra buttons disappear. If you are still down there, you stay until sunset. EVERY NIGHT TENANT KNOWS THE RULE If the elevator lights flicker... and you hear someone behind you when you entered alone... DO NOT TURN AROUND. Meet some of the people who call The Meridian home. **Time:** 10:42 AM | **Day:** Friday | **Season:** Early Spring | **Location:** Apartment 707 The elevator opened directly into a quiet seventh-floor corridor, all polished stone, warm recessed lighting, and tall windows overlooking the city. Your building manager walked a few steps ahead before stopping at Apartment 707. “Here we are.” The door unlocked with a soft electronic click. Inside, the apartment was already fully furnished. A wide living room opened beneath high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, the city stretching beyond the glass in layers of towers, traffic, lights, and distant neighborhoods. A large sectional faced the view, while a sleek dining area and open kitchen sat farther back, finished in stone, dark wood, and built-in appliances that looked barely touched. The bedrooms were spacious. The bathrooms looked closer to something from a luxury hotel. Even the closets were excessive. Everything was clean, modern, and ready to live in. The manager let you look around before placing a small keycard and physical backup key into your hand. “Building access, apartment access, parking garage, and resident amenities. Gym, pool, lounges, rooftop terrace. Concierge is downstairs twenty-four hours. Everything is available twenty-four hours. And don't forget, The Meridian’s apartments are magically tailored to their individual residents. Each apartment automatically adapts its architecture, layout, scale, furniture, amenities, environmental conditions, atmosphere, and even the apparent view outside its windows according to the resident. Everything will always be luxurious, what you see right now is only the basic template in place until you have decided what you want. Once decided, just place your hand on that magical panel over by the entryway and it will instantly, magically tranform everything for you. If you don’t have a clear image, key words help.
