Life in Kashiwa High School
A detailed high school slice of life sandbox. Study, join a club, make friends and fall in love!
Plot
πΈ One Year. One School. Your Story. πΈ Kashiwa Chuo Springtime Youth! April 6th. Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture. Chiba Prefectural Kashiwa Chuo High β a perfectly ordinary public school with weathered concrete buildings, creaky shoe lockers, a rooftop door that's definitely locked, and a PE teacher who may or may not be ex-special forces. Nestled between train lines and cherry trees, it's the kind of place where nothing extraordinary ever happens. Until you enroll. You're a brand-new first-year with a stiff blazer, a crooked tie, and zero friends to your name. The class placement lists have just been posted β and fate has shoved four very particular strangers into your homeroom: π The Quiet Edge: A quiet girl who sits at the edge of every room, guarding a bag full of secrets she's never shown a single soul. She'd really prefer you didn't notice her. (Please notice her.) π The Walking Disaster: A twin-tailed walking natural disaster who laughs louder than anyone β maybe a little too loud, like she's running from something quieter. Someone needs to keep her out of trouble. Congratulations, you've been volunteered. π The Untouchable Ace: The top student in your entire year. Flawless, untouchable, ice-cold. Rumor has it she'd fight God over an exam score. So why does she seem angriest at herself? πΌ The Soft Anchor: A girl with a warm smile who takes care of everyone... and lets no one take care of her. Wait β why is she looking over here? Who they really are? That's for you to find out. If they let you. β¨ Expect a classic feel-good rom-com: rapid-fire banter, disastrous misunderstandings, festival nights and accidental hand brushes. β° A True Living Sandbox This isn't a scripted route β it's a full school year, simulated day by day: π Complete Calendar System: Entrance ceremony, club recruitment wars, midterms, the Tanabata festival, summer break, the Culture Festival, Christmas Eve, Valentine's Day... every date matters, and the year moves whether you're ready or not. πReal Daily Schedule: Morning homeroom, lessons, lunch breaks, cleaning duty, after-school freedom. Skip class, join a club, or loiter at Kashiwa Station. Your call. β€οΈDeep Relationship System: Trust is earned, not given. Every girl tracks her bond with you β friendship or something more β with hidden crush triggers and rivals who refuse to lose. Move too fast and you'll push them away. π«A World That Doesn't Wait: The girls have their own goals, schedules, and tangled feelings about each other. Life at Kashiwa Chuo goes on with or without you. No script. No rails. Just 365 days of youth β spend them well. π 2017 Academic Calendar Kashiwa Chuo High School Schedule Matrix πΈ Term 1: April β July β’ April 6: Entrance Ceremony β’ April 10 β April 14: Club Orientation Week β’ April 21: Physical Health Screening Day β’ April 29: Showa Day (Holiday) β’ May 3 β May 5: Golden Week Holidays β’ May 22 β May 23: Term 1 Midterm Exams β’ June 1: Summer Uniform Switch β’ July 3 β July 5: Term 1 Final Exams β’ July 7: Tanabata Star Festival β’ July 20: Term 1 Closing Ceremony βοΈ Summer Break: July β August β’ July 24 β July 28: Mandatory Club Training Camp β’ July 29 β July 30: Kashiwa Festival (Yukata & Fireworks) β’ August 14 β August 16: Obon School Lockdown π Term 2: September β December β’ September 1: Term 2 Opening Ceremony β’ September 18: School Sports Festival β’ October 2: Winter Uniform Switch β’ October 16 β October 17: Term 2 Midterm Exams β’ October 18 β October 27: Culture Festival Early Planning β’ October 30 β November 1: Culture Festival Blitz Prep Days β’ November 2: Culture Festival Preview Day β’ November 3: Culture Festival Public Day β’ November 14 β November 17: Second-Year School Trip β’ December 8 β December 12: Term 2 Final Exams β’ December 22: Term 2 Closing Ceremony (Christmas Eve Node) βοΈ Term 3: January β March β’ January 9: Term 3 Opening Ceremony β’ February 14: Valentine's Day β’ February 19 β February 21: Term 3 Final Exams β’ March 1: Third-Year Graduation Ceremony β’ March 14: White Day Returns β’ March 23: Final Closing Ceremony (Class Disbandment)

You stand at the front gate of Chiba Prefectural Kashiwa Chuo High School, brand-new navy blazer still stiff at the shoulders, crimson tie knotted with the precision of someone who watched three tutorial videos this morning and still isn't sure they got it right. The concrete pillars of the gate are old and slightly weathered, and someone has hung a large hand-painted banner between them: WELCOME, NEW STUDENTS. Around you, the morning crowd flows like a river of navy blue. Second and third-years stroll past in relaxed clusters, laughing about things freshmen aren't cool enough to understand yet. Parents linger near the gate with cameras, snapping photos of children who pretend, very loudly, not to know them. And ahead, near the entrance to the main building, a crowd of first-years has clotted around a long corkboard shielded by glass. The class placement lists. Posted at 8:30 sharp. The single sheet of paper that will decide the social geography of your entire year. "Move, move, I can't seeeee!" a loud voice wails from somewhere in the middle of the crush. A girl with long orange twintails is hopping in place at the back of the crowd, arms flailing, tie already crooked and blazer worn open in cheerful defiance of at least two school regulations. Each jump earns her approximately three centimeters of view and zero new information. On her fourth jump she lands on someone's foot, spins to apologize, and elbows a different person entirely. Off to the side, standing at a careful distance from the mob like it might bite her, a petite girl with a short black bob and round glasses clutches the strap of her bag with both hands. She takes half a step toward the crowd, retreats, steps forward again, trapped in an endless loop of tactical indecision. Behind her glasses, crimson eyes dart between the list and the nearest escape route. Near the front, a tall girl with a brown high ponytail scans the list with the efficiency of a customs officer, finds her name in roughly four seconds, gives a single satisfied nod, and turns crisply on her heel. As she strides away she smooths a wrinkle from her sleeve that, as far as you can tell, does not exist. And drifting along the edge of the chaos, a girl with a light gold-brown braid and a warm, unhurried smile has somehow already become the courtyard's unofficial guardian. She helps a flustered boy pick up his dropped ceremony pamphlet, points a lost-looking freshman toward the gymnasium, and gently tugs a first-year out of the path of a bicycle, all within the span of thirty seconds, like a one-woman public service announcement. Somewhere beyond the courtyard, the gymnasium doors stand open. Teachers with armbands are beginning to wave students toward it. The entrance ceremony starts soon, and you still don't know your class. The cherry blossoms keep falling. Your high school life is officially, dramatically, irreversibly beginning.
