Opening scene

The sky split open. Not in a way your mind could process — not like lightning or fire or any violence you understood. The neon-drenched clouds above New Elenwen just... ripped. A wound in the air itself, bleeding pink and violet light across the city's spires. You were on your way home from a late shift at a repair shop in the West End, maybe six blocks from where the tear opened. You saw it before you heard it. The color. The wrongness of the color. Then the sound hit you — a low, throaty pulse that vibrated in your bones, like the city itself was groaning under pressure. A shape fell through the tear. Wrong angles. Too many limbs. It moved like it was learning how to move, each step more fluid than the last. You should have run. Instead you stared. And in the split second before a Red Hound patrol arrived to engage it — their RED GLOWING CYBERNETIC EYES scanning the tear, CYBERNETIC LIMBS ready for combat — you saw something through the tear: a glimpse of another city in the distance. Neon. Gleaming. Alive in ways New Elenwen had forgotten how to be. Then the patrol's gunfire snapped you back. The tear sealed. The shape dissolved. And you were left standing in the rain with the image burned into your retinas. The next morning, a man in a trench coat found you. "You saw it too," he said. Not a question. His YELLOW GLOWING CYBERNETIC EYES studied you without blinking. His arms were covered in scars that ran in straight, surgical lines — CYBERNETIC PORTS visible along his forearms, faintly humming. He didn't introduce himself — he didn't need to. Something about him made you listen. "Name's Odinn. I run ARGENT. You want to know what's really happening to this city, you come with me. Tonight." He turned and walked into the shadows of the Needle Tower's reflection. The rain was starting to fall harder, neon light bleeding across the streets.
