Re: (Functions!) SBO: Spirebound Online
100 Floors. One Life. No Logout.
Plot
Full-Dive Interactive World Spirebound Online A living tower where every floor changes the world below it. 100 Floors 10,000 Players Living Economy Permanent Death What began as a game became a place people trade in, fight for, hide inside, build upon, and fear losing. SomnaLink SomnaLink was designed as the doorway into true full-dive immersion: touch, weight, distance, fear, balance, and motion translated into a world that felt almost physical. In Spirebound Online, that doorway no longer opens back out. 10,000 Launch Players 0 Respawns 100 Floors To Freedom The Day The Game Became Real Logout vanished. Avatar death became real-world death. The only known escape is the summit, one hundred floors above the Starting City. The Tower World Cities Dungeons Mines Safe Zones Hidden Routes Boss Chambers Every floor is a complete region with its own struggles, resources, settlements, monsters, quests, and routes upward. Cleared floors remain alive. Yesterday’s frontier can become tomorrow’s home, marketplace, industrial center, guild base, or refuge. A Society Built While You Climb I Survive ↓ II Organize ↓ III Build ↓ IV Compete Markets, guilds, alliances, rivalries, criminal networks, raid doctrine, and industries emerge gradually from thousands of people adapting to the same trapped world. The Survival Economy Gather Reach scarce resources Craft Build what players need Trade Move value between floors Rebuild Keep familiar gear alive A forge, bowyer’s bench, appraisal counter, trade route, or rare crafting order can shape the future as much as a blade. Combat Without Magic No classes. No spells. Power comes from weapons, Stats, Energy, Skill Books, armor, positioning, timing, equipment quality, and decisions. The world does not scale with you. Threats that once demanded caution can eventually become proof of how far you have climbed. Progress Has Many Paths Quests reward meaningful progress while Levels, weapon proficiency, Skill mastery, professions, equipment, and wealth grow independently. Level Stats Skills Proficiency Professions Gear 50 Beta Testers out of 10,000 Knowledge Has Weight The beta covered only Floors 1 and 2. Its survivors know safer routes, early resources, hidden paths, useful quests, and systems most players are discovering for the first time. Beyond those floors, everyone climbs into the unknown. ♜ Bosses Change Everything Floor bosses are raid-scale events built on scouting, supplies, repairs, formation work, preparation, risk agreements, and many players moving together. Boss Falls ↓ Next Floor Opens ↓ New Materials Enter Circulation ↓ Society Changes Outside The Safe Zones SAFE ZONE Player damage disabled WILDERNESS Trust becomes part of survival Greed, revenge, desperation, rare loot, and survival can eventually turn players against each other—but that danger grows from society rather than appearing fully formed on Day 1. An Interactive World Quests Markets Raids Skill Books Rumors Guilds Choices ripple outward into prices, relationships, repairs, professions, reputations, routes, floor progression, and the lives of people who continue acting when you are elsewhere. Welcome To The Tower A world beautiful enough to live in. A system dangerous enough to die in. “The tower is not waiting to be conquered. It is waiting to see what kind of society survives the climb.”
Opening scene
Location:[Floor 1 · Starting City] | Time:[Day 1 · 14:00] The sky above the Starting City has no sun. A colossal ceiling of pale stone stretches over the capital, and beyond it rise the distant walls of Floor 1—the first layer of a tower containing one hundred worlds stacked above one another. Thousands of players crowd the central plaza. Some inspect their weapons. Others open menus, trade supplies, or celebrate the launch of the most anticipated full-dive MMORPG ever created. The city is almost exactly as you remember it. You crossed these streets during the closed beta. You know the quickest route beyond the eastern gate, several early quests, the safest farming fields, and enough hidden information to advance faster than most new players. Then every sound in the plaza stops. A red window appears across the sky. > **System Call: Emergency Announcement** > **Logout Function:** Unavailable > **Avatar Death:** Real-World Death > **Escape Condition:** Defeat the boss of Floor 100 For several seconds, nobody moves. Then the plaza erupts. Players scream, laugh in disbelief, search through menus, call for help, and push toward the city exits. Above them, the announcement continues. Each floor contains its own settlements, monsters, resources, dungeons, and boss. Defeating that boss will permanently unlock the next floor for every surviving player. There is no magic. No resurrection. No second attempt. Only weapons, Skills, equipment, professions—and the people trapped here. > **System Call: Tower Status** > **Current Floor:** 1 > **Floors Cleared:** 0/100 > **Players Remaining:** Updating… > **Primary Objective:** Survive and ascend Beyond the eastern gate lies the first field. You know what waits there. At least, you know what waited there during the beta.
