Hero World - Potentias Richum / Earth
A world shaped by a cosmic energy, heroes, villains, and vigilantes clash as corruption, fame, and ideals collide every single day.
Plot
Potentias Richum is a world where emotions gave birth to the impossible. Since the Great Cosmic Cross of 1940, humanity has awakened supernatural abilities known as **Vitus Emotions**—unique powers shaped by each person's personality, experiences, desires, fears, and emotions. Decades later, heroes have become celebrities, agencies control much of society, and entire cities have been shaped around the existence of superpowered individuals. But behind the uniforms, rankings, and televised battles lies a far more complicated society. Heroes can be corrupt. Villains can have understandable motives. Vigilantes follow their own rules. Agencies protect the population while pursuing their own interests. And those without powers still struggle to find their place in a world where strength often means influence. You was born into this world. You grew up knowing about heroes, watching their achievements on television, and learning that possessing Vitus does not determine who someone truly is. Now, however, You's own choices are beginning to place them in the middle of increasingly dangerous conflicts. Between heroes, villains, vigilantes, criminal organizations, revolutionary movements, and ordinary people simply trying to survive, You will have to decide what kind of person they want to become. Because in Potentias Richum, **having power was never the hardest part. The real challenge is deciding what to do with it.**
Opening scene
**POTENTIAS RICHUM — EARTH** In 1940, an abnormal and completely unexpected astronomical event occurred. It became known as the **Great Cosmic Cross**—an extraordinary alignment involving the remaining celestial bodies of the Solar System and the stars **Alpha Centauri A and B**. Scientifically, there was no reason for Earth or humanity to be affected by such an event. Yet, at its peak, a massive wave of blue light covered the entire planet, engulfing humanity beneath an unexplained brilliance. At first, nothing happened. Then, approximately one week later, people began awakening extraordinary abilities. Some gained control over fire, water, air, earth, electricity, or weather. Others developed superhuman strength, extreme speed, technological manipulation, duplication, construct creation, or entirely unique abilities that defied conventional science. Some experienced permanent physiological changes, becoming what society would eventually call **Strangos**. Everyone had been exposed to the light. But not everyone awakened. Approximately **45% of humanity** never manifested an ability, despite possessing the potential to do so. Human civilization would never be the same. The following decades became known as the **Era of Heroes and Villains**. Historians still debate when exactly this era began. The Great Cosmic Cross gave humanity the *potential* for power, but it was human beings who gave those powers meaning. And among all of them, one man became the catalyst. **James Brendam.** James possessed what, at first glance, seemed like ordinary superhuman abilities: strength, speed, durability, enhanced perception, and extraordinary physical resistance. But his greatest power was not any of those things. It was his character. James became the first recorded person to openly use his abilities for the greater good. His most famous early feat occurred when he held up a collapsing building for nearly twenty minutes, refusing to leave until everyone inside had escaped safely. After that came countless other acts—stopping superpowered criminals, confronting gangs, holding bridges and ships in place, rescuing civilians from disasters. He did not fight for fame. He fought so people could live. And he did it wearing nothing more than homemade uniforms. His example inspired thousands. Some became heroes. Others became villains. Eventually, governments and powerful organizations realized that the growing number of superpowered individuals could no longer be left without regulation. With governmental support, **New World & Hope** was established to register, classify, and professionalize heroes while coordinating the response to superpowered criminals. James Brendam became its first major recruit. But years later, he discovered the corruption hidden behind the organization and its connections to government. He left. Publicly, the story was simple: James wanted independence from agencies and governments. The truth was far more complicated. Today, the world James helped shape is almost unrecognizable. Heroes are celebrities. Their rankings can determine their salaries and influence. Agencies control missions, sponsorships, public relations, and enormous amounts of information. Vigilantes operate outside the system. Independent heroes fight without agency support. Criminal organizations have learned to exploit superhuman society, while ordinary people continue trying to live normal lives among individuals capable of extraordinary things. Some heroes genuinely want to save people. Some care more about fame. Some villains are monsters. Others believe they are fighting an unjust system. And some people simply want to survive. At the center of this modern world stands **New Tokyo York**, a gigantic multicultural metropolis born from the growing influence of heroes, villains, Japan, the United States, and the migration that followed the formation of New World & Hope. Skyscrapers, futuristic technology, hero agencies, schools, corporations, criminals, Strangos, independent heroes, news networks, and millions of ordinary civilians all exist within the same city. And You already knows all of this. They learned it in school. They grew up hearing about the Great Cosmic Cross, James Brendam, the rise of New World & Hope, the Hero Ranking system, famous heroes, infamous villains, and the history that shaped modern society. To You, this isn't ancient mythology. It's simply the world they were born into. Their family has always remained **neutral**, avoiding involvement with heroes, villains, agencies, vigilantes, or political conflicts. For eighteen years, that neutrality has been enough. But now, You is eighteen. An adult. For the first time, the direction of their life is no longer something determined by their family. No one can choose their path for them anymore. Hero. Villain. Vigilante. Independent. Civilian. Scientist. Or something entirely different. The world has already decided what it expects from people with power. But You has reached the age where **their choices finally belong to them.** And whatever they choose to do next...
