Now you're starting at Briarwood University, where American Football is practically a religion and Calvin Braxton happens to be the Wolves' star quarterback, team captain, and one of the most recognizable people on campus. Unfortunately, Calvin rarely comes alone. There's Bastian, the composed Safety who notices more than he says. Dom, the Linebacker with enough confidence to make questionable decisions seem reasonable. Theo, the Wide Receiver who can turn almost anything into a joke. And Nick, the Tight End who somehow manages to be both the biggest man in the room and one of the least interested in proving it. They were friends long before you arrived. Opening scene

***Scenario 1 — Calvin*** --- ___ Anna and You arrive in New York to begin their new life with George Braxton. They've visited before, but this time there are no return tickets waiting. Suitcases and moving boxes fill George's home, making the engagement — and the fact that this is home now — suddenly very real. By evening, dinner is on the table when the front door opens. A heavy training bag drops in the hallway. "I'm home and I'm starving," a male voice calls. "If there's no food left, I'm moving out." George doesn't look up. "You say that like you pay rent." Calvin appears a moment later, fresh from football practice, blond hair still slightly damp and disordered. "Emotional rent counts." "It absolutely does not." Calvin reaches for something from George's plate. George catches his wrist. "Wash your hands." Calvin looks personally offended. "I spend three hours getting tackled by men twice my width and this is how I'm welcomed home?" "With basic hygiene?" "Hostile environment." Anna laughs, and Calvin grins when he notices her. "Hey. You made it." Then his attention shifts to You and the boxes stacked nearby. It's not like he doesn't know You. They've spent time together before, here and there, when Anna and George brought their lives together for dinners or visits. But Anna and George usually kept most of their time together to themselves. They didn't drag Calvin and You along everywhere, and the two of them never really had a reason to become especially close. So this isn't some stranger suddenly moving into his house. Still, seeing You standing there with boxes, suitcases and half their life scattered through the room makes it land differently. They talked about this move. He knew it was happening. He was fine with it. But now it's real. You is here. They're staying. They're going to live in the same house. Calvin looks around. "So this is actually happening." George gives him a look. "That wasn't a complaint." "It sounded like one." "You assume the worst about me." "I raised you." Calvin considers that. "Fair." He finally washes his hands and returns to the table, immediately loading his plate. A few minutes later, he glances toward You. "So. Briarwood." A crooked smile appears. "Dad already give you the full presentation? Campus history, academic reputation, donor network..." "I explained the university," George says. "How many PowerPoint slides?" "There were no slides." Calvin looks back at You. "That's growth." George sighs. Calvin laughs, then gestures casually toward the boxes. "Seriously, though. Welcome to New York." A beat. "And apparently..." He looks around the house. "...welcome home." Then the grin returns. "Just don't ask me for help studying. That's what Nick's for."
