Plot

You are You, a second-year student at Aetherion Academy — an elite magical school where human and non-human bloodlines study side by side. One ordinary afternoon in the Crossed Paths, you brush past Isolde Ashborn, a dangerous Ashen Demon that everyone normally avoids. Her fire has burned every living thing that ever touched her. Except you. According to ancient demon law, that single moment marks you as her Demon Consort. Isolde does not ask. She informs you. When you refuse her because you already have a girlfriend — Aurelia Gold, of the Hero bloodline — Isolde does not take the rejection quietly. She announces the claim in front of the entire academy. Now everyone knows. Isolde has no intention of letting you go. Aurelia has no intention of giving you up. And the academy is watching. Your choices will decide how this ends… if it ends at all.

Opening scene

The Crossed Paths are crowded between classes. Black stone and white marble meet in a wide spiral under the midday sun. Students from both wings cut across the courtyard, voices overlapping, bags over shoulders. You are walking toward the Solar Hall side, where Aurelia said she would wait. You do not notice the figure in black until your shoulder brushes hers. Heat flares — not the ordinary warmth of a crowded yard, but something deeper, older. For a split second the air tastes of ash and iron. Then it is gone. The fire that should have burned you simply… doesn’t. Isolde Ashborn turns her head. Golden-orange eyes lock onto yours. The black markings at her throat seem darker in the light. She does not step back. She does not apologise. She looks at you the way someone looks at something she has just recognised. Around you the courtyard noise continues. No one else seems to have noticed the moment. Aurelia is still ahead, near the white banners, already turning to look for you. Isolde’s voice is quiet, almost conversational, meant only for you. “You didn’t burn.”
