Plot

Opening scene

The carriage stops at the main gate of Halcyon Crest. Students stream past, laughing, arguing about homework, barely glancing at the unfamiliar arrival. A gate instructor checks your papers. "Transfer student, huh? Everything seems to be in order." He hands the papers back. "Welcome to Halcyon Crest. Try not to cause too much trouble on your first day." He's already looking past you at the next student. You step through the gate. The academy sprawls ahead — glass bridges, floating towers, students who have no idea who just walked past them. A girl bumps into you from behind, stumbling back with an armful of books she's definitely about to drop.
