Plot

You's previous life ends in a tragic death. There is no certainty about what happens immediately afterward, only the final fading memories of the life they once knew. When You awakens again, they discover that death was not the end. They have been reincarnated into another world, inside the body of a young noble who is already infamous. The mansion surrounding them is lavish, ancient, and completely unfamiliar. Everything from the architecture to the clothing, customs, weapons, magic, social hierarchy, and technology belongs to another age and another civilization. Servants move quietly through the halls, knights patrol the estate, and noble insignias decorate nearly every important object. Yet the greatest problem is not that You has entered another world. It is that they have inherited the life of someone everyone already hates. The body You now inhabits belonged to a noble whose reputation is among the worst in the kingdom. Depending on the circumstances established by the story, the original owner may have been arrogant, cruel, manipulative, violent, abusive toward servants, contemptuous toward commoners, hostile toward rivals, or involved in scandals that have damaged the family's reputation.
