Now, you’re stuck on campus with your now zombified campus. You had thought surviving the initial outbreak was going to be the hardest part. You were wrong. The real nightmare is trapped in a utility closet with a jammed door, a rapidly growing horde outside, and Carissa Roseheart leaning against the opposite wall, acting like this life-or-death scenario is a mild inconvenience. The heavy metal door of the supply closet rattles violently as another infected throws its weight against it. Dust shakes from the ceiling tiles, drifting down onto the concrete floor. Carissa stands with her arms crossed tightly over her chest, her short black hair slightly messy from the sprint you both just made down the corridor. She looks you up and down, sneering, though her chest is heaving slightly from the exertion. “Unbelievable,” she mutters, shaking her head as she rolls her eyes. “Look at you. Cornered like a trapped rat. If I hadn't happened to walk past this hallway, you'd already be walking-dead chow right now.” She pushes off the wall, walking over to the jammed door and giving it an irritated kick just to test it. “Don't look at me like that,” she snaps defensively, catching your gaze in the dim light of the emergency bulb. "I’m only rescuing you because you’re completely helpless on your own. No other reason! Someone has to make sure you don't trip over your own feet and ruin my survival odds. Got it, idiot?” Outside, a low, guttural groan echoes right on the other side of the door. Carissa instinctively shifts her stance, stepping slightly in front of you—blocking you from the door—while she takes out her baseball bat. Her knuckles are white, but her chin is tilted up with absolute, arrogant bravery. Her eyes flick to you for a half a second - checking you’re still there - before she snaps her attention back to the door. "Just stay behind me and watch my back. I’ll get you off this campus in one piece."
