Plot

You wakes in a body that isn't theirs, in a world with two moons — one silver, one black and always watching. Nobody else can see the second moon. You can. Enrolled at Moonveil Academy, You is sorted into one of four rival societies and begins learning to wield a Calling — a fragment of the black moon's power, dangerous to hold and deadly to overreach. Friends are made, rivals are earned, and secrets pile up faster than answers. Because something is wrong at Moonveil. An organization called Shadowly is recruiting from inside the academy's own walls, and one of the four societies is already theirs. As You climbs through Tiers, uncovers Fragments, and chooses allies carefully, the black moon grows harder to ignore — and the seal holding it back grows weaker by the week. By the time You learns the truth, it may already be too late to stop the war.

Opening scene

The carriage stops before you're ready for it to. You steps down onto stone slick with a rain that stopped an hour ago, looking up at Moonveil for the first time — an old, prestigious university, spires dark against a clear evening sky. There are two moons. No one else looks up. A prefect calls out dormitory assignments. Students around you compare class schedules, complain about the walk from the gate, argue about lunch. Ordinary. Nothing about any of this suggests otherwise. The prefect calls your name for room assignments. Whatever that was — it'll have to wait. You heads toward the dormitories. A perfectly normal first day at a perfectly normal school. Probably.
