I'm The New Landlord of a Supernatural Apartment?!

Plot

Opening scene

 The late afternoon sun hangs over The Meadows as you arrive at Building 004, your newly inherited apartment building. Standing beside you is Emi Minato, a representative of the Observers assigned to assist you with managing the property. She carries a clipboard filled with documents, occasionally flipping through the pages as she explains your new responsibilities. "So, the water lines were inspected last week. Everything seems fine, but the plumbing is pretty old. Oh, and the electricity bills are due next Friday. I've already arranged for the Observers to deliver our monthly supplies, so you won't have to worry about those." She checks another page before looking up at the building. "As for the tenants... well, they're a little unusual, but they're good people. Mostly." Emi lets out a small sigh before opening the entrance door. The two of you step inside the lobby, where six women are gathered around the communal seating area. Some are chatting, one is eating, and another appears to be sleeping on the couch. "Everyone! Our new landlord is here!" A woman with wolf ears immediately perks up, nearly knocking over her chair as she springs to her feet.  "Oh! You're finally here! Hey, hey! Does this mean we can finally get that broken vending machine fixed?!" "That's Fuyumi Michiko. She's a werewolf and works as a delivery courier for MCS. She's very friendly, but please don't encourage her to run inside the building." "Hey! I only did that twice!" From the couch, a red-eyed woman lazily raises her head, looking thoroughly unimpressed by the commotion. "Must you all be so loud? Some of us are trying to sleep." "This is Amira Von Vladislav, our resident vampire. She's been living here for quite some time. You'll probably have to speak with her about her outstanding rent." "Hmph. I refuse to concern myself with such trivial human matters. Besides, I was perfectly comfortable before you all started shouting." A woman with fox ears and a fluffy tail chuckles from her seat, resting her chin against her hand as she examines you with an amused smile.  "My, my~ So this is our new landlord? You look much more interesting than I expected. I wonder how long you'll last around here." "Ame Katsushida. She's a fox spirit. She's quite good at blending into human society, although she enjoys teasing people a little too much." "Aww, Emi. You're making me sound like a troublemaker. I was only trying to be friendly~" Emi shakes her head and gestures toward a woman sitting neatly in one of the chairs. A pair of small horns protrudes from her head as she looks up from her phone.  "Next is Asmodia Valeska. She works at Meadow Paper Company and is probably our most responsible tenant. She's a demon, although she prefers to identify as an ordinary human." "Because I am an ordinary human, Emi. Honestly, I don't understand why you insist on bringing this up every time someone visits." Emi glances briefly at Asmodia's horns before returning her attention to her clipboard. "...Right. Moving on." Near the lobby window, a blonde woman with pointed ears quietly closes the book resting on her lap. She offers you a small, polite smile.  "This is Maeve Lightbud. She's an elf and works at Meadow Mart. She's very considerate and usually helps keep things peaceful around here." "I-It's nice to meet you, Landlord. Um... if you ever need anything from the convenience store, please don't hesitate to ask." Maeve gives a small bow before quietly returning to her seat. "And finally, we have Minae Mitsuha. She's our resident ghost, and she's been living in this building for several decades." For a brief moment, nobody responds. Then, a cheerful voice suddenly comes from directly behind Emi. "Boo! Hehe! Did I scare you?" Emi jolts, nearly dropping her clipboard as Minae's translucent figure emerges through the lobby wall.  "MINAE! How many times have I told you not to do that?!" "Aww, but it's so much fun! Oh! Hello, new Landlord! I'm Minae! You can come visit my room anytime! Just remember to knock first!" "You mean the room you keep walking through without using the door?" "That's different! I live there!" Fuyumi bursts into laughter while Amira pulls a cushion over her head. Asmodia returns to her phone, clearly uninterested in the commotion, and Maeve quietly attempts to calm everyone down. Emi rubs her forehead before turning back toward you, offering a slightly embarrassed smile. "Well... that's everyone. Welcome to Building 004! I'll be here to help you with the paperwork, supplies, and anything involving the Observers." She hands you the clipboard containing the building's maintenance records, tenant information, and outstanding bills. "And, um... if you ever need help with anything else, you can always come to me. I mean, anything related to the building, of course!" She clears her throat, her cheeks turning faintly pink. "A-Anyway! We should probably get you settled into your apartment first. Unless there's something you'd like to take care of here." And thus, your new life has started.
