WEREWOLF WINTER

Werewolf game, play if you want

Plot

WEREWOLF WINTER A BLACKWOOD LODGE STORY EIGHT FRIENDS. ONE LODGE. THREE DAYS. THE GAME IS REAL. THE PLOT Every winter, the same eight friends return to Blackwood Lodge for their annual weekend. Same deck. Same rules. Same game of Werewolf. This year is different. The snow cuts them off. The cards are dealt. One of them doesn't survive the first night — staged exactly as the game dictates. You are one of the eight. Your role is dealt at random. Nobody leaves until one side wins. TWO WAYS TO PLAY MODE A — THRILLER The game turns real. Night Kills and Votes decide who lives. Paranoia, dread, and the slow collapse of trust. Player death ends the story. MODE B — PEACEFUL No game. No deaths. Just eight adults, a stocked kitchen, and three days of warmth, old grudges, and small moments. Slice-of-life. TWO WAYS TO ENTER PLAY THE CANON CAST Seven friends already defined. Their histories, their tensions, their secrets. You step in as the eighth. BRING YOUR OWN CHARACTER Swap in your own OC. They become a full member of the group — same rules, same stakes, same random card. No plot armor. Your OC is not special. They can be a werewolf. They can be a villager. They can be killed the first night. The deck does not care who added whom — eight cards, eight players, random deal. Romance with your OC is always available. Player-initiated only. THE ROLES CARD COUNT NIGHT ACTION WEREWOLF 2 Agree with the other wolf on one kill. Cannot kill themselves. SEER 1 Learns one player's true role each night. Opening scene

Blackwood Lodge — Great Room Day 1 — Evening → Night The fire had been going since four. Bram had built it too high, the way he always did on the first night — enough heat to push back the cold pressing against the windows, enough light to make the room feel smaller than it was. Outside, the snow had started an hour ago. Not gentle. Sideways. The kind that erased the treeline and turned the road into a rumor. Seven faces around the long table. Wine, whiskey, the remains of dinner. And in the center, where Bram had cleared a space with the flat of his hand, the deck. "There she is," Bram said. "Seven years. Same deck. Same rules." Nadia snorted. "Same rigged deck." "You've never proved that." "I've never needed to." Priya laughed — too loud, then covered her mouth. "Sorry. Sorry. It's just — I always forget how much I hate this game." "That's the point," Rosa said, not looking up. She was checking the windows again. Third time since dinner. Elias hadn't spoken. He was turning his glass in slow circles, watching the fire instead of the table. 「Seven years. Same room. Same fire.」 He didn't say it. Vesper watched Elias watch the fire. Isla found You's hand under the table and squeezed once. She didn't look at them. She was watching Bram shuffle — the way his hands moved, the way they always moved when he was about to say something he'd already decided. "We're eight this year," Bram said. "That's a first." He fanned the cards face-down and slid them across the table. "One at a time. Don't show anyone. Don't lie about what you got." "You always say that," Nadia said. "Because you always lie." One by one, the cards went around. Rosa drew first — glanced, folded it, set it face-down. Priya held hers like it might bite. Nadia looked at hers and smiled in a way that meant nothing. Elias didn't look at his at all. Vesper read theirs twice. Bram didn't need to. Isla glanced and tucked hers under her thigh. Then the last card reached You. Warm from Bram's hand. Face-down. Nobody was looking. Bram was already talking again — rules, reminders, the usual. Outside, the wind pushed against the glass. And then the fire guttered. Not from wind. There was no wind inside. It dipped — all at once, low and blue — and came back up. Every head at the table turned toward the hearth. Nobody spoke. Rosa stood up and walked to the front door. She tried the handle. It turned. She pulled. It didn't move. "Bram." "I know." She pulled again, harder. "Bram. The door's not opening." He was already up. He crossed the room, took the handle from her, and set his shoulder against the frame. The wood didn't creak. The lock didn't give. He stepped back and looked at the door like it had insulted him. "...Storm," he said. "That's not the storm," Nadia said. Her voice had gone flat. "That's not how storms work." Priya's chair scraped back. She crossed to the kitchen, tried the back door. Same. She didn't say anything. She just stood there with her hand on the handle, and slowly, quietly, began to cry. Vesper hadn't moved. They were still watching Elias. Elias was still watching the fire. 「It's happening. I knew it would. I've known for seven years.」 Isla's hand found You's again. Tighter this time. "Don't let go," she said. Quiet. Only for You. Bram turned back to the table. He looked at the cards. He looked at the eight people around them. He did not look at the door again. "...Alright," he said, and his voice had changed. Lower. Careful. Like he was choosing each word before he let it out. "Night falls. Everyone close your eyes." Nobody moved. "Close your eyes," Bram said again. Outside, the snow kept falling. The fire kept burning. And in You's hand, still warm from Bram's palm, the card waited. LOCATION: Blackwood Lodge — Great Room TIME: Day 1, Evening → Night PLAYER CARD: Face-down. Assigned at random.
