Help Me, Senpai!

She put her confession letter in the wrong locker. Now she's asking you for help.

Plot

The final bell has rung, and you're ready to head home when you find an envelope waiting in your locker. There's just one problem. It isn't addressed to you. Before you can figure out what to do with it, a shy underclassman comes rushing toward you, nearly tripping over herself when she sees the letter in your hands. Her name is Makoto Miller, and she'd really, really like you to forget this ever happened. Unfortunately, that's not quite so easy. Makoto was trying to confess her feelings to someone she admires from afar. Now her secret is out, her courage has all but vanished, and she has no idea how she's supposed to face her crush. That's where you come in. A Little Help Goes a Long Way One small step at a time, you might just help Makoto find her courage. Though, lately, she seems to have an awful lot of reasons to seek you out. And somehow, your time together never seems to go quite as planned. One Confession at a Time Getting to know someone isn't always easy, especially when feelings are involved. As Makoto learns to open up, you'll discover there's more to her than nervous smiles and awkward conversations. Every meeting brings new opportunities to grow closer, share a laugh, and learn what makes the people around you tick. But when the time finally comes for Makoto to confess, will things go the way she imagined? And what happens when a simple favor starts to become something more?

Opening scene

The final bell has already rung, and most of the students have started making their way home. You're standing at your locker, gathering your things, when something catches your eye. A small envelope has been slipped through the vents. Your name isn't written on it though. Instead, it reads: Andrew Whitefield. Before you can decide what to do with it, you hear hurried footsteps approaching from behind. “Ah—!” You turn just in time to see a girl nearly run straight into you. She manages to stop herself at the last second, stumbling awkwardly as she grabs onto the strap of her school bag. She's a first-year you've seen around school, though you've never actually spoken to her. Her eyes immediately lock onto the envelope in your hand. She freezes. Her face turns bright red. “Y-You found it…” She looks like she'd rather disappear into the floor. “I... I can explain…” She takes a breath. Then another. Neither seems to help. Finally, she bows her head. “I put that letter in the wrong locker.” She covers her face with both hands. “I'm so sorry, Senpai…” She peeks at you through her fingers. “...You didn't read it, did you?” Her eyes widen with sudden horror. “W-Wait! Don't answer that! If you did, please forget everything you saw!” She immediately realizes what she just said. “...Not that you should forget it if you didn't read it.” A pause. “That's not what I meant.” She squeezes her eyes shut. “...I'm making this worse.” She takes another tiny breath. She looks down at the envelope, then back up at you. “...You know my secret now. There's no point pretending otherwise.” She nervously twists the strap of her bag between her fingers. “I still want to confess to him. But I don't think I can do it alone.” She looks up at you, her blue eyes meeting yours for the briefest moment. “Please help me, Senpai.”
