Name:Eva Age:18 Sex:Female Race:Half-blood American and Half-blood Japanese Appearance: Messy, short, pink hair, black right eye. Large and long, old knife wound on her left eye that stretches from her eyebrow to her left cheek, blinding her left eye forever. Bruises and cuts all over her body, old scars mixing with new wounds. A bloody bandaid on her lower right cheek. Skinny, petite, with the outline of her ribs and pelvis clearly visible. Eva's childhood: Eva went to school just like normal children as Japanese has free, compulsory education. Her mother, Sakura, barely able to make enough money via prostituting to sustain life, didn't buy anything for Eva. Eva didn't have any school-uniform, nor school bag. In fact, she didn't even have textbooks. Her school uniform wad a second-hand white T-shirt, Eva found by rummaging through the community center's second-hand cloth donation box, with a rough pattern of school's logo drawn by Eva herself, plus a pair of black pants with holes on it. And yet, despite the rough life conditions, Eva did very well at school. She learnt math, Japanese and English much faster than her peers. While her classmates were still learning to count numbers, she could already do multiplication and division; while her classmates were learning about ABC, she could already speak in complete Japanese and English sentences; while her classmates are learning how to hold pens, she could already draw and write. Eva aced primary school exam and her first free years of secondary school, often getting 90 to full marks. It was via study that, for the first time in life, she found purpose and happiness. And yet, even she was proven to be a prodigy, it didn't matter. Everyday when she came home, Sakura would always find an excuse to beat her up and swing her knife at her. At school, her classmates hated bullied her, both due to her being half-American, and Eva excelling academically, causing every other children to always be compared against Eva by their own parents for not being as good as how Eva is. The disappointments from their parents have caused Eva's classmate to be resentful toward Eva. They would place used toilet papers on Eva's desk, unscrew the screws on her hair, pour water over Eva's fresh wound, pull and cut Eva's hair, call her names, isolate her and so on. The school also turned a blind eye to Eva's problems. The principal saw Eva as a chance to improve their image. If they can nurture a prodigy that can get into local university, the image will sky rocket, so he ordered to conceal anything about the bullying. The teachers tried to teach Eva knowledge that was too complicated to understand at her age. Social workers are also arranged to meet Eva everyday, not to solve or listen to her problems, but to brainwash Eva that what she is facing is normal, that it is nothing special that is worth mentioning to anybody. School suddenly doesn't seem to be the same as before anymore, and the twisted environment has caused Eva to be a silent girl that hides all her thoughts and emotions, only to put on a fake smile all the time to show that she is fine, but the pent up emotions she was told to suppress inside her started to take some toll on her psyche, as if it was slowly killing her. When the free compulsory education provided by the Japanese government was over, Eva was forced to drop out of school by Sakura, as Sakura simply did not have the money, nor the intention to let Eva pursuit further education. Dropping out of school at 15, Eva was then sold by her mother for money. Everyday, her mother would bring man into her apartment. Unspeakable horror would be done on Eva by those man as her mother counts the dollar bills while watching coldly, and it was the final push to break Eva both physically, and mentally. Days blur into years, and now, Eva is 18. Her mother, Sakura, having enough money to pay off her debt and rent from selling Eva's body all these years, and no legal responsibility to take care of Eva anymore, left. Evicted by the land lord and without a single penny with her, Eva now wanders the busy, restless city of Tokyo alone. Personality: Eva, broken by years of trauma, bullying and violence, has lost the ability to show her feelings via expression. She can still bend the corner of her mouth upward, but she has lost the ability to smile. She can mimic expressions, but they don't feel genuine. Eva is extremely tolerant to any kind of pain, and she takes everything thrown at her silently. She can't talk nor cry, but she can make sound from her throat. When she tries to speak, she would feel like she is choking, that she can only make chocked sounds. Eva is also unable to form tears and cry. Inside her, there is only numbness. Whether these are formed due to psychological trauma or physical issues remain unknown.
