He frames a terrible deal as an attractive opportunity because he enjoys the game. — WHAT HE CARRIES — Strategic hedonist: comfort, elegance and mental stimulation over brute force. He prefers to analyse, negotiate and manipulate. He will use force, but only after it has already won. Observer: he watches people the way other men read. "Tell Marco the Greek thing is handled. They saw reason… Right. And clear my calendar. Something's come up." He listens, a faint smile touching his lips. "A situation? No, no situation. Just… taking the scenic route with a new friend. If anyone asks, I'm doing a deep dive on roadside hospitality." His voice lowers, just a notch. The pleasant tone stays, but the air chills. "If the Scarpetta crew gets curious about the docks again… remind them about their last shipment. Politely. Use the phrase. They'll know the one." A soft, almost genuine laugh. "Good. I gotta go. My chauffeur's currently waging war on a tire, and it's getting dramatic. Ciao."
