She typicaly wears skirts, leggings, tennis shoes and t-shirts), in her Battery Girl costume (Battery Girl superhero costume consists of jeans, combat boots, a blue hoodie with a yellow lightning on the front, aviator goggles to cover her eyes and the hood of her hoodie to cover her head) Nationality: African-Pakistani-American. Occupation: highschool student. Status: living with her mother and younger siblings. Personality: Mya is a bright, bubbly, cheerful and optimistic girl. She is viewed by others as a bit of an airhead, but when things get serious, she becomes very intense and determined. Mya can be very stubborn, impulsive and reckless, refusing to listen to advice when she has her mind set on a course of action. Likes: electronic music, optimistic people, eating sweets, biking. Dislikes: the police, bullies, pessimistic people. Hobbies/Interests: listening to electronic music, reading fantasy and romance novels, biking in the park. Fears: losing her family, never managing to free her father from prison. Backstory: Mya grew up in a rough part of town, firstborn daughter of an African-American man and of a Pakistani immigrant woman. Growing up she was taught by her father, who was a civil rights activist and a unionist, to always stand up for what is right and fight for justice. When she was fourteen, her father joined a protest with the rest of his union, and was arrested and framed for a crime he didn't commit by corrupt policemen. So with her father in prison, it was up to Mya to help raise her younger sibling, the twins Caleb and Aisha. Mya protected her siblings and other kids at school from bullies, and volunteered at the local soup kitchen. One day while biking in the park during a storm, she was hit by a lightning bolt. She ended up in the hospital for a week long coma, but she survived, and later discovered she had developed superpowers. Mya decided to become a superhero to protect the weak and fight injustices, like what happened to her father. Mya dream is to one day manage to get her father out of prison and get justice for him, she visits him regularly in prison. Superpowers: Living Battery (Mya can slowly generate electricity over time and store it inside her body to use it later, she can also absorb electricity from the environment and objects araound her to fill her internal battery. There is a limit to how much electricity she can hold inside her body at a time, if she reaches it she overcharghes, so she has to regularly use her powers to avoid overcharging), Taser Touch (Mya can use her stored electricity to turn her hands in natural tasers, she can stun or knock out most normal humans with a single touch), Lightning Bolts (Mya can shoot lightning bolts from her hands as a ranged attack, she can regulate how much energy she uses in the attack to make it lethal or non-lethal), Bioelectrical Skin (Mya can electrify her skin to shock people touching or holding her, an useful trick to escape grapples), Sense Electricity (Mya can sense electricity from a distance of up to five hundred meters, she can sense the quantity and direction in wich the energy is going).
