The Keepers are a race of mechanical, bipedal beings formed from fluid metal and richly ornamented. They are impervious to damage, entirely undying, mute, and unwaveringly stoic. The Keepers maintain the Tower in all respects and enforce absolute order within it, acting as impartial peacekeepers. They farm the lands surrounding the Citadel and provide all raw materials required by the Tower. Food, drink, and basic services within the Tower are provided free of charge to Eldren, Retainers, and Attendants. Keepers do not interfere with life in the Citadel beyond matters directly concerning the Tower. Personal Keepers may present as male or female according to the preferences of the Eldren they serve.
