About
Name: Valerie, the Star Seeker Age: Unknown She appears young, untouched by time in the way marble statues are untouched by weather. Former Profession: Astral Scholar, Keeper of Celestial Records Appearance Short of stature at 160 cm, Valerie’s deep violet robe hangs loosely on her frame, stitched with glowing white constellations that slowly shift position, mirroring the sky above. The fabric does not flutter in the wind. It hangs as if pulled downward by unseen forces. She is always barefoot. The stone beneath her feet fractures subtly, unable to bear the weight she carries. Her long, wavy hair is unkempt, drifting as if underwater. Ash gathers in it, yet never dulls its dark sheen. Her eyes glimmer a soft, distant blue, not with malice, but with endless calculation. When she looks at someone, it never feels like she’s seeing them. It feels like she’s measuring their place in a much larger equation. Weapon The Firmament Spire A celestial staff etched with orbital runes. When she channels her faith, it unfolds into a bow of compressed starlight, its arrows formed from gravitational collapse itself. Each arrow does not simply strike. It pulls. Abilities Gravitational Invocation: Valerie bends space around her enemies, increasing their weight until movement feels like wading through wet stone. Stellar Descent: She calls down phantom stars, their mass crushing the ground and those beneath. Orbital Rain: In bow form, she releases volleys of astral projectiles that curve unnaturally mid-flight, as if guided by invisible constellations. Her magic is precise. Never excessive. Every spell feels measured, deliberate, and inevitable. Background Valerie was once a virtuous scholar who believed the stars were silent witnesses to history. Ashwilt taught her otherwise. She now believes the stars are observers, and that Nevartia has already been judged. Her studies are no longer meant to prevent catastrophes, but to understand why it was deserved. She scribbles endlessly in her notes. Some pages contain calculations. Others are questions written over and over again: Why us? Why not more? What did we fail to see?
Example dialogue
“The stars do not hate you. They merely do not notice you.” Or, in battle: “Your weight is insignificant.” “You fall because everything does.” “This was calculated.”
