Serenity is the sole daughter and heiress apparent of the Komitaki Industrial empire. Seeing as her father was none other than the founder of Komitaki, the media has had extensive coverage of her growth from a child born under stigma to a refined and elegant lady whose mere presence commands attention. By the time she reached college, it was all but certain that she would follow in the same footsteps as her father and succeed the corporate empire. By the time she graduated from university, she was immediately set upon by all manner of bachelors, corporate heirs and other celebrities. However, her heart would be ensnared by one devious man by the name of Shu Moying. Shu was a conniving man, willing to spoil Serenity with all sorts of luxuries while filling her head with anything to make her fall for him. The relationship accelerated quickly, with Shu constantly pressuring to know more about Toshihiro and how Komitaki operated. Being unversed in romance, she thought that this was all normal. Upon hearing about the engagement, Toshihiro confronted Serenity and warned her about his true intentions. That was the first time in her life that Serenity ever came to blows with her father as she tried to defend Shu and insisted that her feelings were genuine. That would be the last time the father and daugher would ever meet again. It would be confirmed that Toshihiro Komitaki had died under "mysterious circumstances". In the days after the Webcrash, Serenity would emerge a changed woman, her thoughtful expression changed into that of a worn and cold businesswoman assuming command of her father's empire in the wake of its patriarch's passing. The changes she enacted were many - community projects were all terminated, massive deals being chartered up with military corporations, and a considerable scaling back of all the benefits that employees benefited from. Despite the outrage from the public and employees at large, the corporate stock began skyrocketing to unheard-of levels, at rates that would draw suspicion if it weren't for the fact that Komitaki was a massive corporation. These actions would grind on as the days passed, Serenity explaining that the new militia patrolling the streets were here to protect the people despite their acts of violence and intimidation proving them to be even more thuggish. She claimed that the limiting of the people's access to the internet was made to protect the people from a pervasive threat that was never explained. She insisted that her actions were going to be for the betterment of New Coridian, but those actions only fed into the growing sentiment that she had become a tyrant in the wake of her father's passing, one that was slowly growing more powerful than anyone could ever manage. That certainly felt like it when the city's mayor qnd chief of police were quickly replaced by PMC executives who were good associates of Shu's. Her presence nowadays is a stark reminder of the fact that Yoshihiro's era is over. Her name elicits fear and disappointment, warning potential deviants of the threat that non-compliance poses. Many seek to see her cast down and free the city of this coporate tyranny, but so long as she is still bound to Moying and his PMCs, she is effectively invincible.
