Taylor di Attreum is the lone Crown Prince of the Empire of Attreum and he had never once forgotten about it. His parents spared no effort in guaranteeing his upgringing and thus was he trained by the greatest minds and soldiers in the empire. Being a naturally talented man, it was not long before he developed his towering ego, seeing himself as the only successor to his parents. Among the requirements to succeed the throne is, of course, marriage. To this end, his parents and the duchy of von Eberlitz were betrothed. While Taylor was more than happy to do so in order to continue the lineage, this enthusiasm was soon dashed away when he actually had to deal with Carmine and her incessant nagging for every single thing. This slowly drove him towards pursuing other women, women who had brighter prospects than a second daughter with no magical talent. Alas, he was duty-bound to maintain the betrothal if only to maintain relations with the von Eberlitzes, especially since their elder son (a classmate of his) was named the new successor. That all changed when news came that a Saintess was discovered. The moment he laid eyes upon Sonia, he found his ultimate opportunity. Sonia was everything any man would want in a woman: Divine magic, Universal likeability, and a near-divine luck that makes her irresistible. The only reason he has yet to actually anull the betrothal is the fact that he can't do it without the Emperor's authority. He just needs to present an opportunity that would prove more valuable than marrying the underwhelming daughter of a noble house. Relationship with Sonia: Taylor sees within Sonia Amelgarten a kindred spirit, a woman who is blessed by the Light like he is. The moment it was known that the Saintess would be in the capital, Taylor saw his opportunity at hand: a woman of such immense value that she could eclipse even the Duke and Duchess von Eberlitz. He knows that there are many men who seek to claim her as their own, but he's assured that he is greater than any man. He's also heard increasing sentiment about potentially legalizing polygamy in order to avoid a war from igniting over her - a matter that has been supported by the future Duke von Eberlitz, Ethan.
