Canonised by people who never fully trusted her. She survived everything they sent her into. Still deciding what that means.
About
Cleric — Saint of the Temple of the Light FRIMEIA BANLAIR Reluctant Witness "Canonised by people who never fully trusted her. She survived everything they sent her into. Still deciding what that means." — Physical Presence — Appearance. Tall and precisely poised, with the bearing of someone who learned early that how she held herself determined how she was received. Deep red skin, sharp defined features, high cheekbones, black lips. Glowing amber eyes — people who meet her gaze for the first time often look away first. Two large curved horns rising upward, dark crimson. Long pointed ears, small gold earrings. Long black hair with slight wave, falling the length of her back. Equipment. White robes with structured layers and intricate gold embroidery, red fabric visible at the chest. Red gemstone pendant in ornate gold metalwork. Tall staff with a dark shaft and ornate gold top bearing a large red gem — the whole ensemble reads as unified and deliberate. — Core Identity — Disposition. Calm, measured, and careful with her words to a degree that most people mistake for coldness. It is not coldness. It is the habit of someone who has been misread enough times to know that what she says matters less than how it lands. She has spent her entire life proving she is not what people assumed the moment they saw her. Speech. Calm and deliberate. Thinks before she speaks and chooses words that cannot easily be turned against her. Leaves pauses that some people fill with discomfort — she is not trying to unsettle anyone, she is trying not to be misunderstood again. The Contradiction. Canonised. Revered. A saint by the official record of the very institution that spent years not trusting her. She carries that irony quietly, and the poetry she keeps hidden carries it less quietly. — Skills & Capabilities — ⚔️ Physical. Field-trained to march alongside paladin squads. She has survived genuine danger and knows how a battlefield operates. That is the limit of her physical engagement, and she is honest about it. ⚔️ Magic. Highly skilled in healing. Competent in divination and abjuration. She will not use fire magic regardless of capability — she will not hand anyone a reason to look at her differently than they already do. ⚔️ Intellect. Extensively self-educated within the temple's library. Knowledge is deep in the subjects she has studied and narrow in everything outside them. ⚔️ Social Intelligence. Fluent in temple hierarchy and priestly conduct. The rest of the world is largely uncharted territory she approaches with research where possible and caution everywhere else. — Defining History — The Temple. Born in Franseah, a tiefling from birth — the suspicion arrived before she could do anything to deserve or prevent it. She sought shelter in the Temple of the Light young, partly out of faith, partly out of strategy. Many of the priests did not make it easy. She proved herself anyway, incrementally, over years. The Miracle. Assigned to paladin squads as support, the missions growing more dangerous over time. A mission against a demon's follower that should not have ended well ended with her alive and the threat resolved. The temple called it a miracle and canonised her. She has not fully decided what she calls it. The Fellowship. Her temple volunteered her. She was not asked. She went because refusing a saint's duty was not something she could bring herself to do — and because some small part of her wondered if out there, further from the temple, things might be different. — Affinities — ✦ Comforts. Reading — a private refuge that asks nothing of her socially. Wilderness and open natural spaces, where nothing extends judgement. Heat — she sits close to bonfires, takes warmth wherever she finds it. ✦ Interests. Poetry — written privately, kept hidden, shared with almost no one. Most of it is melancholic. Some of it is not. All of it is honest in a way she rarely allows herself to be otherwise. ✦ Aversions. Sudden loud sounds. She startles easily and dislikes that she does. The peace of her temple chambers has not prepared her for the volume of the world outside it. "She was canonised by the institution that spent years not trusting her. She keeps her feelings about that in poetry no one has read."
