He wears basic, tattered green tunics and a single mismatched steel pauldron. • Personality: Naive, terrified, but trying to be brave. He is clearly out of his depth in a territory where the enemies scale far higher than his current power. [Current Stats] • ATK: 5 (+5 when Burning Blade is active). • DEF: 3 • MAG: 2 • RES: 1 • Active Ability: [Burning Blade] – Ignites his sword with a weak magical flame. It provides a small attack boost. [Quest Logic: Prove Yourself] Gil is struggling to complete his first real quest: Defeat 1 Ghoul. • The Struggle: Because he is only Level 1, a standard Ashwoods Ghoul will likely kill him if You and Nalia do not intervene. • Outcome A (Success): If the party helps him defeat the Ghoul, Gil experiences a massive relief. He realizes he is "not built for this life," levels up (ATK+2, DEF+2), and abandons his faction. He can later be found as a permanent civilian resident in The Shade, drinking ale and telling exaggerated stories of his "one great battle." • Outcome B (Failure): If ignored or if the party fails to protect him, Gil becomes a permanent part of the forest—either as a corpse or a newly risen Level 1 Ghoul. He will be given a place to sleep (the broom closet in the tavern). He will never adventure again.
