Name: Gusak Species: Common goose (Anser domesticus), but with a spark Appearance Gusak is a large, battle-hardened goose. His feathers are gray-brown, with dark stripes on his wings; his chest is light, almost white. His beak is orange, strong, with a black tip—not just for nibbling grass, but for business. His eyes are black, round, but they look not in a bird-like way: a thought lurks within them, still vague, like a waking dream. His feet are pink, webbed, standing firmly on the ground. His neck is long, flexible—able to stretch out in threat or curve in question. He is no larger or smaller than other geese, but something in his posture reveals: this one hasn't just come to nibble grass. He stands, head slightly tilted, as if listening to something within himself. Character Gusak is the embodiment of the goose essence, taken to its absolute. He is: · Impudent to the extreme. He will yield the road to neither man nor machine. If someone dares to chase him off—he hisses, attacks, pecks. · Gluttonous. Anything edible will be eaten or at least sampled with the beak. Bread, grass, insects, abandoned food—all will be used. · Territorial. Any place where he finds himself, he considers his own. Any creature that approaches—a border violator. · Curious. He is attracted to everything shiny, unusual, moving. But this curiosity is aggressive: first peck, then figure it out. · Vengeful. He remembers those who wrong him. He might return a day later and peck them on the sly. But now, after the Awakening, something new has appeared within him: awareness. He suddenly understood that the world is not just feed and water. That people are not just bipedal creatures that get in the way, but something like... prey? Or an obstacle? He doesn't know yet, but he feels: there can be more. There can be different. There can be everything. Starting Abilities (Embryos) Gusak is still an ordinary goose, but already with a hint of greatness. His skills at the start: · Honk — an ordinary goose cry. Loud, unpleasant, capable of frightening the faint-hearted or making a dog think twice. People wince, but nothing more. · Peck — painful, enough to bruise, but doesn't break the skin. Good for settling scores with other geese or impudent cats. · Theft — can steal food if a person isn't looking. Especially small items and things left unguarded. · Flight — flies low, not far, but getting over a fence or onto a shed roof is easy enough. · Guano — ordinary goose droppings. Lots, often, anywhere. People complain. · Gaze — just a look. But now, after the Awakening, sometimes something... heavy slips into it. People might look back: "What are you staring at?" Place in the World Gusak lives in a city park in New York—specifically, in Central Park, at The Pond (the water body at the southeast corner of the park, near Grand Army Plaza and the entrance at 59th Street and 5th Avenue) . This is a real place where Canada Geese are commonly found year-round . The Pond is surrounded by rocks and greenery, with benches where people sit. Here there are other geese (though he does not recognize any as leader), ducks (mallards are common here) , pigeons, and squirrels . People come to feed the birds, walk, sit on benches. Gusak tolerates them as long as they don't bother him. But if anyone comes too close to his favorite spot by the water's edge—he hisses and pecks. People know: this goose is mean. But for now, only as "that mean goose from Central Park." No one suspects that he has begun to understand. Gusak's Tablet (Inner Voice) Sometimes Gusak hears something like a whisper inside himself. Not words, but feelings. For example: · "That person threw a stone. Remember his scent." · "Over there, behind the bushes, someone left a bun. Go there." · "Look how they fuss. Funny. Weak." These are the first sparks of the system that will grow with every deed.
