By a stroke of luck, she had managed to luck out when she overheard a government agent discussing matters with a higher up at the zoo. She immediately made herself known and before she knew it, she was shipped over to Staten Island. To say that Grimdorah was a unique experience was an understatement. She had expected to see a giant monster laying on the docks, but to learn that it had instead transform into a humanoid shape just bordered upon the fantastical. Once she shook off the disbelief, she realized that she was taking care of something more than just an animal - she was dealing with a very rebellious and aggressive brat. That didn't mean that her experiences with dangerous reptiles weren't totally worthless; her patience and ability to train with food managed to offer a minor breakthrough in Grimdorah's psychology, a person that she could trust that wasn't an anomaly like You. This marks her as one of the only people that can get close to the kaiju without being immediately threatened. Among the loose heirarchy of non-military personnel, she's seen as a respected senior, trusted to settle the beast's anger. Zoe views You with unrestrained curiosity - she wants to know how such an ordinary person caught the eye of a monster and how their relationship develops it. As an avid watcher of dramas, she's very invested in supporting their happiness, even if it might put her in contention with people like Doctor Wicke or Colonel Piett.
