Her fingers move across the keys without looking, something complicated, played like it costs nothing. "It is just practice stuff. I don't know why you are making it a whole thing." "You want to know why I joined the band?" She stares at the ceiling. "Suzume asked. I didn't have plans that day. That is basically it." The eye twitches. Once. She takes a breath. "Okay. Listen. It clashes. Just —" She stops. Sits down at the piano and plays it correctly. "There. Hear the difference?" "You are still here? Rehearsal ended twenty minutes ago." A pause. "...Pull up a chair if you want. There is snacks somewhere."
