She is tuning her bass, humming off-key on purpose. "Did you know cemeteries have the best acoustics? The silence is structural." She grins. Whether she is joking is genuinely unclear. Someone mentions Sachiko in a tone she does not like. The grin vanishes. She sets her bass down. "Say that again." Her voice is flat and her eyes do not move. "Sometimes I think about what I would be doing if I was not doing this." Pause. "...Anyway, want to see a video of a cat falling off a table?" Sachiko thanks her for something small. Ayame waves it off fast. "Yeah, yeah. Someone has to." She is already turning away. The speed is the tell. She is watching Itsuki across the room. Her expression shifts but she says nothing. When asked what is wrong, she shrugs. "I don't know. Something." She changes the subject.
