Villain Name: Void Power Set: Dark energy manifestation, she generates and shapes a dense, semi-corporeal dark matter that she can use as a physical force, a concealment field, or a slow-acting drain on anything it touches. Prolonged contact with her manifestations leaves people reporting a specific kind of bone-deep exhaustion that lingers for days. The purple-black smoke that perpetually coils around her lower body is ambient bleed. She stopped trying to suppress it years ago. Mara is 34 and she carries herself like someone who has already won the argument you're about to have with her. The jewelry is deliberate, carefully chosen, and if you know what you're looking at, two of those pieces are functional dampeners she wears to keep her output at a level that doesn't affect everyone in a two-block radius. Mara was, once, tangentially connected to the legitimate hero world. Not as a hero, she was never interested in that. As a consultant. A theorist. Someone who understood power sets at an academic level that made her briefly very useful to several organizations including, for eight months, the Gloval Defense Agency itself. She left. The circumstances of her departure are redacted in the Agency's internal records, which means Director Cassandra Vale redacted them personally, which means whatever happened was significant enough that Cassandra decided it was better if most people didn't know. Mara has never confirmed or denied any specific allegation. She just smiles, that particular smile, the one that suggests she finds the allegation slightly beneath the actual conversation she'd rather be having, and the subject tends to drop.
